During the summer term of 2011, the school was judged by OFSTED inspectors to be “requiring special measures”. In September 2013 the school was judged to “no longer require special measures” and was removed from the OFSTED category. On December 1st 2013 the school became a sponsored academy, sponsored by United Learning, a national charitable trust. As you can imagine the school has changed a lot since May 2011 and is on an exciting and rapid journey of school improvement. The post has been created as the result of a ‘leadership re-structure’ and the successful applicant will play a leading role as a member of the senior management team. The successful candidate will be expected to work fast and effectively and be an ‘outstanding classroom practitioner’ but will also access the highest quality CPD in order to support his/her professional growth.
