2014 PH FUEL HIGHVELD MID AMATEUR STROKEPLAY MIDDELBURG COUNTRY CLUB – 6th APRIL Conditions of Play : The Championship will be played under the Rules of Golf as approved by the South African Golf Association. Additional Local Rules have been approved by Highveld Golf Association. Entry : Open to any male amateur golfer who is a member of a Golf Club affiliated to a Union/ Association recognised by the SAGA and whose handicap is assessed in terms of a system approved by the SAGA. The applicant must be over the age of 35 years for the duration of the tournament. Players can only enter on the official form. Format : The Championship will be played over 36 holes strokeplay. In the event of a tie a sudden death will take place on holes 10 & 18. Should inclement weather rule this out a count out will be applied – last 18; last 9; last 6; last 3 holes. Entry Fee : R300.00 which includes early morning refreshments and a light lunch. Once the draw is published the entrant is liable for the entry fee. Payment to be made at Middelburg Golf Shop on the morning before play on 6 April. Forms are available from all Union Secretaries as well as the HGA Secretary. It is posted on both the MGU as well as SAGA websites. Prizes Gross and Net prizes will be awarded. Limit of Entry : The field will be limited to 84 players – if entries exceed this number the field will be reduced in such manner as the HGA may determine. The Association reserves the right to refuse any entry without reason and their decision will be final. Disputes & Decisions : Disputes and decisions of any nature will be dealt with by the HGA, their ruling will be final. The player acknowledges he will read the form. Any player who arrives at his starting point within 5 minutes after his starting time is liable to a 2 stroke penalty in terms of Rule 6 – 3a, otherwise the penalty is disqualification. Outside caddies are permitted with the permission of Middelburg C.C Players may not use a motorised golf cart – unless a current medical certificate is handed in. Players must swipe their SAGA Affiliation Card on paying. Conforming Range Finders are permitted – the device may not carry windspeed or slope applications.
