Wheel-Gauge Type HGE-WMR
It is always important for a company to keep processes fast and easy to perform. If a
measurement gadget is used, it has to be easy to use and should display exact measurement values.
The Wheel-Gauge Type HGE-WMR is a valid measurement gadget to measure and to estimate train wheels. By small design it can be used in the smallest spaces between tracks
and wheels.
The measurement gadget is very stable, very light because it was made of aluminum,
easy to use and can be handled by a single person. The mechanic transmitter is equipped
with a wheel centering function and can be fixed with magnets on the wheel. This will permit a clear and fast measurement of the wear parts – Expenditure of time is less than a
minute including spreading and removing.
Another advantage of our concept is the hand-held computer PSION WORKABOUT which
is combinable with a lot of gadgets offered by our company. You are able to connect our
door-closing force measurement unit or our wheel distance measurement unit with the
same hand-held computer, just like the transmitter of the Wheel-Gauge. The result is saving costs.

Value was set on a fast and easy measurement. The
measurement data will be documented and shown optically on the screen of the handheld computer PSION
WORKABOUT.
The menu of PSION WORKABOUT was kept very
simple so every user could handle it very fast.
The user has a free selection of inputs like order-, vehicle- and bogie number, mileage of the vehicle, comments about wheel and vehicle and signature (touchscreen).
In process of measurement you will get information
about the minimal and maximal values. In event of a
limit value being exceeded the user’s attention will be
drawn with acoustic and optic signals to that fact. In
the Vehicle overview the user has immediately a summery about the status of the measured wheels and
the wheels going to be measured. If the wheel is okay,
it will be fitted with a hook. Otherwise the wheel will be
fitted with a cross.
Regarded as a particular feature of our software we
want to underline that an interrupted measurement
could be continued at some other point of time. This is
an advantage of our gauge so the user’s time and
work plan are flexible.
The PSION WORKABOUT has enough storage to
save more than 1000 vehicle-measurements with 8
bogies.

At the end of every single measuring process a detailed measurement report will be created. You can take a look at the report on the display of PSION WORKABOUT as well as
on the computer. The report could be transferred to the computer in file formats PDF, Excel or MS Access and can be printed.

The software HGE-DataManager © belonging to the wheel distance measurement device offers a quick and easy data transmission from the handheld
PSION WORKABOUT to the user-PC. There is a choice between several database formats to store the measurement data (PDF, EXCEL and MDB).
In addition to this, the HGE-DataManager © software provides information about
the status of the accumulator and the remaining data storage of the handheld
PSION WORKABOUT.
