Frank Hayes from Fathers and Families works on supporting men in the transition to fatherhood and will talk about the experiences and needs of new fathers plus running a new dads group. Nimisha Waller is a LMC midwife and a member on the MOH Compliance Panel that monitors The Code in NZ (re breastfeeding), her study is on the effects of PTSD in perinatal mental health. Bronwyn Sweeney is a researcher and lecturer from Waikato University with expertise in Sleep and its effect on the perinatal mental health, adjustment and overall wellness. Ailke Botha is a senior clinical psychologist and she has a special interest in building resilience and facilitating attachment during the perinatal period. She has been working in the MMH Service of the WDHB for the last seven years. Ailke will facilitate a session on anxiety and parenting.
