INTRODUCTION TO EAOGS
The 3rdEast Africa Oil & Gas Summit& Exhibition (EAOGS) is taking place on the 15-17 October 2014 at the Kenyatta
International Conference Centre in Nairobi.
EAOGS is an official initiative of the Ministry of Energy, Kenya and in just two years has established itself as the most
prestigious oil and gas event for the region. EAOGS enjoys strong support and active participation from governments
throughout East Africa as well as all major oil and gas exploration and production companies, the services companies
together with the banks, law firms, consultants and supporting businesses to the oil and gas industry.
In recognition of the outstanding contribution to the region as well as its national importance; the 3 rd EAOGS is now
an official part of the Kenya@50 celebrations.
EAOGS has been created to ensure a balance between country specific opportunities as well as common issues that
affect the whole region such as exploration activity, licensing rounds, development plans and the move to oil
production, new tax regimes, regional infrastructure projects, pipelines, LNG terminals, security, local content
initiatives, investment requirements and other key upcoming projects.
AUDIENCE
Government and National Oil Companies from the region, majors and independent oil and gas companies, EPC
companies, service companies, consultants, lawyers, financiers, regional and international investors.
More than 600 people from 295 companies drawn from 48 countries around the world have enjoyed the experience
