Wauwatosa West IBA Coach/Manager Contract
Some teams playing IBA have asked to include their friends who cannot play, or play regularly, as
Coaches or Managers. To keep a level playing field for all teams while maintaining a student-friendly
and fun experience, the following rules will be in place concerning any team’s inclusion of a
Coach/Manager:
Coach/Managers will be considered by the IBA Commissioners to be an active part of only the team
with which s/he has registered. As a result, a student who registers as a manager agrees that
1. s/he is subject to the same attendance, behavior, and academic rules as other IBA players,
2. s/he is subject to the same rules of behavior throughout IBA play as other IBA players,
including, but not limited to,
maintaining a professional, courteous attitude to all IBA contestants, referees and
scorers,
using language that is appropriate to the school setting,
remaining off the court while the game clock is running, and
being respectful of the IBA Commissioners and their requests.
3. s/he will have no special privileges or access to school resources and facilities unless
first approved by the IBA Commissioners,
4. s/he will count against the 12-person roster an IBA team may carry,
5. s/he will not be allowed to come on to the game floor to play in a game,
6. s/he will be required to submit this signed contract and the standard $15 IBA fee which
will be non-refundable, prior to the 18 December 2014 free-agent deadline.
7. the team with which s/he is associated will forfeit any contest during which any of
these rules are broken.
Additionally,
While a team can register any number of Coach/Managers within the 12-student limit, no team may
field more than two (2) Coach/Managers during any one game.
No Coach/Managers will be allowed that have not submitted this signed contract and the appropriate
fees.
The IBA Commissioners reserve the right to revoke Coach/Manager status if a student behaves in any
way that is unsafe or undignified, or hinders the progress of any IBA contest with no refund of fees.
