2‐15 Feb Pray
From the GS: Rejoice with me. Rome International Church had its first official service last Sunday, with about 75 attending. Thanks for all
who prayed. Thanks to the members of the Southern Europe LEAD team who were able to attend the launch service. Thanks
to Darryl Evetts and others who have coached Brian and Denise Kirby as they have prepared for this new church plant. Thanks
to IBC churches whose giving has helped to make this dream a reality. Pray for this new church plant, and also for Rome Baptist Church (Dave and Cathy Hodgdon) as they continue to minister faithfully and effectively in another part of this great city.
Pray that our increasing presence will yield a growing Kingdom impact in Rome, and that both churches will grow in every way.
Pray for IBC Vienna and IBC Munich. Both of these churches are going through a transitional time of pastoral search. The
Wrights left IBCV in December and the Srigiris will be leaving IBCM in mid-February. Laurie and I will be visiting both churches
this weekend. We appreciate your prayers as we travel and discuss the future for the these churches.
Pray for Dave Bollenbacher, pastor of IBC Brasilia. Dave’s brother-in-law died unexpectedly this past Sunday. He was 57.
Pray for Dave as he ministers to his family during this time of crisis.
I am thankful for our Central European LEAD team captain, Bob Marsh. Our LEAD team met to discuss church planting in the
IBC, where we have been, we are, and where God might be leading us. We enjoyed a time of encouragement and prayer, and
made some plans for the future. I was particularly blessed to see some of our younger pastors join us—Rodrigo Assis da Silva
(Bethel IBC, Frankfurt, GE), David Martin (IBC Cologne, GE), and David Hamburger (IBC Antwerp, BE)—as well as Gary Preston (Frontline, Ramstein, GE). Jeff Hinman hosted the meeting at IBC Düsseldorf. Pray for our IBC church planting efforts. I
believe God has exciting things ahead. I believe every IBC church can be involved.
Pray for IBC Jurbise, BE. The church is waiting for visas for their new pastor and wife, David and Mary Alice Stevens. Pray
for Bryan Fox, IBC member and interim pastor, who is serving the church until 1 March.
