The HPM Series
When a high degree of accuracy is required
POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT FLOW METERS
The HPM Series of positive displacement, spur gear flow meters are ideally suited
for multi-viscosity fluid measurement. The principle of operation is similar to that of a
gear pump, but in reverse - instead of the gears driving the medium, the medium drives
the gears. Each meter is constructed of stainless steel and tungsten carbide, which
allows the HPM to be used with aggressive fluids as well as fluids under high pressure.
The rugged design ensures a long operating life and regular recalibration is not required
for normal operating conditions. A factory calibration is included with each meter to
ensure an accuracy of ±0.5% across the entire flow range. Repeatability is 0.01% with
excellent low flow resolution. High precision at low flow rates, combined with rugged
durability and easy maintenance are the distinguishing features of this flow meter.

The HPM flow meter is available in two versions - the HPM and the HPM-SLG. The standard HPM
is usually recommended for solvent-based paints and coatings, lubricants, hydraulic oils, adhesives,
sealants, resins and isocyanates. The HPM-SLG series is designed for waterbased paints and coatings.
Its smaller body and lighter construction also make it well suited for tight spaces or robotic arms.

The CAPM-2, 3 and 10 are carrier frequency sensors that produce a square wave pulse with a 50%
duty cycle. The CAPM-2o and CAPM-3o versions are UL approved as intrinsically safe for use in Class 1,
Div. 1 areas. The CAPM-10 is recommended for high temperature conditions. The FOP-20 and 30 are
UL approved, fiber optic transmitters suitable for Class 1, Div. 1 environments and electrostatic
applications. Both are battery powered, with a life expectancy of 5-8 years, depending on usage.
Standard fiber optic cable lengths are 30, 45, 60 and 100 ft.
