Commercial Salt Water Chlorinator Models: M4920 – 50 g/h System M4921 – 100 g/h System Guarantee Information: 1 Year Power Supply & Electrolytic Cell Application: Automatic chlorinating system for commercial swimming pools. Salt Water Chlorination: Salt Water Chlorination is the name applied to a system of pool sanitation based on the electrolytic generation of sodium hypochlorite (pool chlorine) from a dilute salt solution. This process involves an electrical current passing through an electrolytic cell, through which pool water is flowing. At the cell anode chlorine gas is evolved and at the cell cathode hydrogen gas is evolved, leaving a solution of sodium hydroxide which immediately reacts with the chlorine gas to form sodium hypochlorite. Sodium hypochlorite is an excellent sanitiser and is used extensively in water treatment applications. It prevents the growth of algae and bacteria in the pool and provides a safe swimming environment. Benefits of Salt Water Chlorination: 1. Safe: o No need to store & handle large volumes of messy & dangerous chemicals o No chlorine odours & irritations to the skin, eyes and nose 2. Bather Comfort: o The mildly salty water is soft to the touch, therapeutic and beneficial to the body o Bathers will FEEL the difference 3. Cost Effective: o Minimises the continual purchase of expensive chlorine chemicals o Low power use o Uses salt which is cheap and readily available A member of the GUD Group H/O & MFG SCORESBY Davey Water Products Pty Ltd ACN 066 327 517 ABN 18 066 327 517 Member of the GUD Group 6 Lakeview Drive, Scoresby, Victoria 3179 Locked Bag No. 101 Ferntree Gully, Victoria 3156 Australia Tel: 1300 2 DAVEY (1300 232 839) Fax: 1300 304 850 Website davey.com.au E-mail [email protected] H/O & MFG SCORESBY 4. User-friendly: o Sanitisation is automatic & eliminates manual dosing Quality ISO 9001 Environment ISO 14001 Features: o Robust power supply & cabinet for heavy duty applications & long service life o User-friendly controls for simple set up & operation o Large, high flow rate cell for rapid pool turnover o Reverse polarity electrolytic cell designed for high output & long service life o Lockable cabinet protects the control panel & prevents unauthorised access o LED indicators to display cell production, ‘Low Salt’, ‘No Flow’ and overload o Reliable & dependable design for your piece of mind Main Components: The ECO-matic Semi-Commercial Series chlorinator consists of the following components: Power Supply / Control Box: o This component houses all the high power, heat generating elements of the ECO-matic System. Safety isolation, AC to DC current rectification and current regulation takes place inside this unit. The inside of the enclosure is fan cooled to help dissipate heat generated by the transformer and other components. o This component also includes a user interface control panel which includes ON/OFF, chlorine output control, chlorinator cell production and operation indicators. Electrolytic Cell: o This component provides the means for converting dissolved salt in the pool water into chlorine by way of electrolysis. It includes a gas sensor which detects any build-up of Hydrogen gas as a result of low or no water flow through the cell and shuts off the cell output. 220-240V 50/60Hz / Single 2.5 Amp 5.0 Amp 0.57 kW 1.15 kW 26-28V / 9A 26-28V / 19A 4,500 - 7,000 ppm Fan & Heatsinks Coated Titanium - Reverse Polarity 45ºC > 170 L/m > 235 L/m Davey Water Products Pty Ltd ACN 066 327 517 ABN 18 066 327 517 Member of the GUD Group 6 Lakeview Drive, Scoresby, Victoria 3179 Locked Bag No. 101 Ferntree Gully, Victoria 3156 Australia Tel: 1300 2 DAVEY (1300 232 839) Fax: 1300 304 850 Website davey.com.au E-mail [email protected] A member of the GUD Group H/O & MFG SCORESBY 7 13 80mm/3” or 50mm/2” with adaptors H/O & MFG SCORESBY Technical Specifications: Input Voltage (ac): Supply Frequency / Phase Max. It is recommended to the operator to check to compatibility of the pool construction and fittings with salt water. This is particularly important for pools constructed over 20 years ago when chemically treated pools were more prominent. Quality ISO 9001 Environment ISO 14001
