Sudarshan has 7 years of experience in developing, designing and solutions
architecture, specifically with REST (Representational State Transfer), SOA
(Service Oriented Architecture), and EAI (Enterprise Application Integration)
predominantly using the IBM WebSphere stack. He specialises in creating
effective architecture for NFR’s (including disaster recovery, performance, and
high availability and scalability), service modelling (IBM IFW – BOM, IDM), and

my responsibilities included defining SportsBet REST API
implementation standards, enforcing best practices,
consulting and working with the team to define the
scope of a project and training the in house SportsBet
middleware team in DataPower. Performance tuning and
optimisation of the restful APIs’s to achieve the desired
output. Installing, administrating, monitoring and secure
back up of the different DataPower boxes. Lead the team
through scrum software methodologies whenever
required. Designing common design for DataPower
implementation such as common logging, error handling,
pagination, reference data look up and fine-grain
authorization etc.
○ ANZ – Primary member of the team defining ANZ REST
API implementation standards. As an Integration solution
designer, contributed to ANZ DataPower and Message
broker implementation standards and development
guidelines. Analysing business requirements and existing
mobile platform to identify resources and supported
operations. Designing and implementing DataPower
implementation patterns for RESTful Web services and
Canonical based SOAP Web services. Performing the end
point analysis and defining Resource Models and Logical
Information Models (UML based) using RSA. Generating
XSD’s out of the models. Responsible for analysing and
designing RESTful and Canonical based services for
Accounts, Customer Registration and Mobile
Communication features.

○ Westpac Banking Corporation– Responsible for
delivery and design of 16 services for Registration and
Entitlement features. Involved in service identification
and defining the scope based on requirements.
Technical feasibility and design of the services in
DataPower and Message Broker. Integrating ITCAM
and WSRR with Message Broker and DataPower for
monitoring and governance of services of Enhanced IFW
IDM model for service specific requirements. Generating
XSD’s and WSDL’s for the services from the model using
RSA. Creating UML activity diagrams, object diagrams
and component diagrams using RSA. Designing common
design features such as service orchestration, error
handling, pagination, dual update, reference data and
fine-grain authorisation for these services. Conducting
service design walkthroughs to consumers, build, and
test teams. Providing design clarification to consumers,
implementation and test team during development
phase.
○ Rak Bank – Data modelling (IFX) through XML SPY to be
consumed at application level as well as WMB. Created
Gateway layer in WMB as entry point for the RAK ESB
framework. Designed & developed WMB message flows
according the existing current framework. Implemented
Request/Response model based on HTTP nodes and MQ
Nodes. Configuration Management using Visual Source

v6.0 message flow to WMB 6.1. Managed production
tickets in Remedy tool. Enhanced existing WMB V6.0

○ Aviva Canada – Created co-ordinated request reply
mechanism for asynchronous mainframe system. Fan-out
& Fan-in Logic using aggregate nodes, reusable WMB
Error handling flow for entire project & developed batch
flow in WMB using timer nodes. Integrated WMB with
LDAP using security profiles. Implemented DB2 Pure xml
concept in WMB to insert entire incoming XML. Created
& maintained DEV WMB runtime in Windows Server
machine plus SIT WMB runtime in AIX blade machine.
