INNOTECH 2014
Super Duper Show by Sushil Hari students
Students of Class XI of Sushil Hari organized a grand
exhibition INNOTECH 2014 - of various projects completed with
great effort over the last month on 5th February 2014. Occupying an
area of over 8000 sq. ft., an impressive array of working models in
several areas of interest to the students including Physics, Biology,
Engineering, Chemistry and Social Sciences were exhibited.
Among the engineering exhibits were the earthquake alarm,
Animation Praxinoscope, micro sound recorder, seismograph,
multiple water level indicator, automatic street lights, optical illusion
LED display, efficient solar energy production, windmill, Faraday's
motor, hydro-power mill, object and sound sensors, programmable
timer device, fire alarm, soil battery, password based security system,
rain alarm, cell phone signal detector, tumbling machine, number
genie, auto-heat sense exhaust fan and the line robot which followed
a thick curved black line.
The exhibits that stood out in the area of Physics were the
hydraulic elevator demonstrating Pascal's law, dancing skeleton
using the principles of magnetism, magical water tap, hologram
and principle of friction with interleaved pages of books.
A chemical volcano, methods of fermentation and plant
DNA extraction process rounded off the exhibits in the areas of
Chemistry and Biology.
One of the models that caught the eye was the “Future
World” predicting how polluted our world would be in the
future with people wearing oxygen masks and refilling them at
oxygen stations, zoo for all animals and a botanical garden for
plants and trees as most forms of animals and plants would have
become extinct; human diet would be restricted to food pills.

The “Scary Inn” exhibit, over a 500 sqft. area, featured a dark room where visitors had
to stumble their way through several dimly lit chambers with skeletons, ghosts in bed and
one on a chair, the pepper ghost and a graveyard and in the process activate light, heat and
pressure sensors to produce the effects of ghosts making noises, getting up from bed to
shake hands etc.
A stall depicting the history of France with its various landmarks, famous French
personalities and their achievements, their culture and food habits ending up with a
description of Tour de France competition was very informative with an opportunity to
learn a few French phrases.
A special stall promoting the Indian Air Force by Air wing NCC cadets of Sushil Hari
was also exhibited. A cultural programme marking the occasion was staged by the students
in the School open air theater.
At the end of it all, the visitors were treated to scrumptious snacks
and refreshments that included soups, starters, sandwiches, yummy
chats, burgers, pizzas, chocolates, exotic biscuits and ice cream.
Sri Shivashankar Baba, Founder of Sushil Hari, who inaugurated
the exhibition by cutting a cake, commended the efforts put in by
students.

Silver Coin Bonanza
As a generous gesture to motivate the
school children, Baba gifted silver coins to
some of the students who contributed
immensely towards organizing the New
Year and School Annual Day programmes
and lauded their untiring effort in making the programmes
a grand success. He also urged the other students to rise to
the occasion and contribute in whatever small manner
they could.
