SP are mid-/long-term projects: Duration: 1-3 years Equal contributions from RIC-EU and Open Source Community SP are setup as collaborations with the Open Source Community (collaborate in ROS SIG), where the RIC-EU funding is used for the Initiation, Acceleration and Coordination of Community Efforts The strategic projects are prioritized by the CAC The RIC-EU members efforts in the SP are funded up to 100%. All code is released open source IPA contracts external SP contributors Current SP Proposals SP Proposal No (1) SP Proposal Name Description MDE Model-Driven Engineering, Tracing Requirements to implementation Real-time capable middleware, Quality of Service, Deterministic Behaviour Development Process to ensure software quality (e.g. according Capability Maturity Model, CMM) (2) RT-ROS (3) Certification (4) (5) (6) (7) (8) Windows Support CI-Extern Calibration GenericIO (9) Continue existing REP 141 Internal SP SWRi IO Device Support Extended Driver Specification + Implementation Constrained Pathplanning Focused Technical Projects (FTP) FTP are intended as a means for technology transfer, as such the proposed work should have a near term utility Duration: less than a year Cost: less than 200 T€ FTPs are proposed by full members and start when funding is in place (asynchronous) Short Project Description via Quad chart: Problem/ Approach /Cost / Schedule FTP is posted on Consortium web portal, other full members negotiate the requirements and join the FTP group (Additional Entities may be invited to join if expertise is needed) and then contracted separately FTP may apply for partial funding (up to 20%) by the RIC-EU. To be voted upon by the CAC.
