MEDIA RELEASE Air Transport Training College (ATTC) receives Airbus Group Bursary Sponsorship for the College’s Aerospace WSQ-aligned Diploma and Degree Programmes Singapore, 13 February 2014, Airbus Group, a global leader in aerospace, defence, and related services today announced provision of financial sponsorship to support aerospace training conducted by Air Transport and Training College (ATTC), an Approved Training Organisation (ATO) appointed by the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) as the NCI (National Continuing Education and Training Institute) under the Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) framework for the Aerospace industry. ATTC is the Professional Development Centre of the Singapore Institute of Aerospace Engineers (SIAE). ATTC is an internationally recognised training institute which provides professional training in aerospace engineering and aviation management to meet the needs of the dynamic aviation industry for trained aerospace engineers, technicians and managers. The cheque was delivered by Tom Enders, CEO of Airbus Group to Liu Wing Tim, managing director of ATTC at the Airbus Group Reception Night held at the Fullerton Bay Hotel on February 12, 2014. The sponsorship will primarily be used to fund bursaries for needy students pursuing the Aerospace WSQ-aligned diploma and degree programmes at ATTC. “We are very delighted to accept Airbus Group’s generous contribution, which will surely be of great value to ATTC students in need of financial support,” said Liu Wing Tim, managing director of ATTC. “Airbus Group is committed to making aerospace education more accessible to the young and bright who are chasing their childhood dreams of flying,” said Tom Enders, CEO of Airbus Group. Aside from endowments in educational institutions worldwide, Airbus Group, through the Airbus Corporate Foundation, also engages in charitable and humanitarian activities. Most recently, the Foundation extended humanitarian aid to victims of typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. ATTC, as the Professional Development Centre of the Singapore Institute of Aerospace Engineers (SIAE) is committed to providing responsible and creditable aerospace training and education. In addition to being an NCI for Aerospace WSQ training, ATTC has been awarded the 4-year EduTrust Certification by CPE with effect from 28 December 2011.The College is exhibiting at the Singapore Airshow from February 11 through February 16, 2014 at booth (#B12).
