NARRATIVE REPORT
JULY TO SEPTEMBER 2014
OUR MISSION:Our mission is to create a better world through education and
service in the realms of human life and environment.
OUR VISSION:Our vision is to provide new horizons and open avenues to the
under privileged and deprived people of our society to live with dignity
and self-respect.
ACTIVITIES OF SEVAI SOCIETY:The SEVAI SOCIETY is working for the welfare of the poor people by running Schools,
Children Home, Home for the Aged and Skill training centre. We also work for
Environmental protection. The donations received from the funding agencies are used for
various projects.

HALLELUAH CHILDREN HOME, MADURAI:-
Our children are very happy to stay here and are studying well with our great
support. They practice sports in the play ground at morning and evening times after school
hours. We conduct chess competition for all the children. 31st July St. Ignatius feast was
celebrated. Children had a special prayer for our Founder Rev. Dr. S. Ignacimuthu SJ.
Children prepared and completed their mid-term exams well. Children conveyed
Independence Day wishes to one another on 15th August. Our children participated in Volley
ball & Kho Kho matches for state level selections. They conveyed teacher’s day wishes to all
the teachers and prayed for them on 5th September. Our children celebrated Mother Mary’s
feast at our home on 8th September. They had a special prayer for our Founder and his health
and service on his Birth day on 9th September.
Children pray on Ignatius Feast. Children won cup for sports.
Children are playing in the evening.
XAVIER MATRICULATION SCHOOL, MADURAI:-
Our students are studying well for their subjects. Our staff are preparing well with
their good effort. Staff are very supportive and guiding students to tackle their hurdles. Our
School Kho Kho senior girl’s team participated and won in Zonal level. All students

participated in observance of All India Flag Day for the Blind. Our students participated in
Zonal level chess competition at Government school. Our students got prizes from Carrom
competition & participated in drawing competition organised by differently-abled welfare
trust. Our School celebrated 68th Independence Day on 15th August. Fifteen students got
prizes in “E” Zone level athletic meet held at M.G.R Stadium. We received maximum prizes
for yoga & Best yoga school award from 45th Tamil Nadu Yoga sports open championship
2014. Career guidance program was conducted for our school students by Padmarajam
College of management. On 5th September Teachers day was celebrated by our students with
their cultural events to entertain all the teachers. Our students prepared well and successfully
completed their quarterly exams and went to their home for holidays.

Our School Principal distributed prizes & certificates to yoga winners.

BENEDICT MATRICULATION SCHOOL, THENI:-
Our school students are studying well with our great support. Our staff are putting
their full effort to develop every student. 1st July Doctor’s Day was celebrated at
Uthamapalayam Government hospital with doctors, nurses and patients. 11 th July Benedict
feast was celebrated with mass and prayer provided by Parish priest. 15th July Kamarajar’s
birth day was celebrated with essay writing, slogan writing competition and prizes were
issued to the winners. Medical camp was conducted to the children from Primary Health
Centre for vaccination for DPT. Parents teachers meet was held on 9th August. Independence
Day was celebrated in a grand manner & Mini marathon was organised the same day. Five
hundred students participated; Chief Educational Officer, District Superintendent of Police &
Revenue Divisional Officer were invited to begin this mini marathon. Prizes were distributed
to the winners; issued participation certificates to all. Teacher’s day was celebrated with
student’s encouragement to all the teachers. Word dictation event was conducted for students
on Saturdays. Flowers day was conducted in our school by student’s involvement with staff
guidelines.

BENEDICT CHILDREN HOMES, THENI:-
Our children are very happy to stay and study here. They are very much grateful for
our valuable support. We have provided good path to develop the children by this home.
MARY MATHA PRIMARY AND HIGH SCHOOL, TRICHY:-
Our students are getting good learning from our school with our experienced staff.
They are very much supportive to improve students to study well and reduce fear about their
exams and other obstacles. Our school staff and students’ bond is very much genuine and
helpful for their future. On 15th July Kamarajar’s Birthday was celebrated with our students’
participation of drawing, speech competition and story writing. We conducted parents
teachers meet. It has helpful to the parent’s role & support for their children through school
staff and management. Independence Day was celebrated with sports day events. Students
and parents participated and enjoyed it. Retired Additional district superintendent of Police
Mr. Stephen and Father Nicholas were invited as chief guests and they distributed prizes to
the winners. 27th August Junior Red Cross students meeting was held at our school and Mr.
Natarajan talked on how to make vermicompost, Panchakaviyam and Natural pesticide to
JRC students. Book exhibition was conducted by Anuragam book centre; our students bought

some books and utilised this opportunity. Teachers’ day was celebrated with students cultural
events on 5th September. Our school feast (Mary Matha feast) was celebrated and dist sweets
were distributed to all the students on 8th September.
Mary Matha feast was celebrated in our school. Our students drew India map with states.
68th Independence Day & school sports day were celebrated with students sports event.
Our chief guest Mr. Stephen distributed prize & JRC meet was held at our school play ground.

Our students are very enthusiastic to utilise this book exhibition.
WENDALINUM CHILDREN HOME, TRICHY:Our children are staying and studying well in this home. It’s a wonderful help to
them. We are very much supportive
to develop the children. Our home conducted
competition such as story writing & a lyric writing to the children and it improved their skills.
Drawing, Chess and throw ball also were conducted and it improved their mental & physical
strength. Children like these things.
Our children participated in drawing & story writing competition in our home.
Our home children are relaxing by playing sports during their holidays.

MID DAY MEAL PROGRAM AT MARY MATHA SCHOOL, TRICHY:Our school children are very much happy to receive this midday meal and it has
rectified their hunger and lack of nutrition.
We provide noon meal to our school children with egg.
MOTHER THERESA SKILL TRAINING CENTRE, T. SINDALACHERRY:There are 13 female beneficiaries who are getting tailoring coaching from this centre
now. They are learning enough time to develop their skill from this centre. There are 15
beneficiaries who have utilised our library and news paper every day. We will increase library
books in future.
Our beneficiaries are getting training from this skill centre & show hand-made muffler.
MOTHER MARY HOME FOR THE AGED, T. SINDALACHERRY:There are 24 elderly inmates presently staying and benefiting from this home. They
are very happy and feel peaceful to receive support from our home. This home reduces their

existing problems. They have good food, spacious hospitality & comfort to stay in this
Mother Mary home for the aged.
Elderly inmates assemble in the corridor for prayer & take their lunch at dining hall.
SAINT MOTHER THERESA INDUSTRIAL SCHOOL, T. SINDALACHERRY:-
We have started St. Mother Theresa Industrial School for school drop out students. It’s
helpful to develop their technical knowledge. We have initially started 2 courses with 9
students during this academic year. Our staff are teaching well and improving their technical
skill to develop them as skilled workers. Students are very happy to learn this technical subject
from our Industrial school.
Our staff are coaching students in their class room at T. Sindalacherry.
EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE:Our students are studying well with our great assistance. We have provided this
assistance to the existing students this year. They are very happy to receive our financial
support and are energetic to study and want to achieve high.
