It’s that time of year again when we lose an hour of sleep! Frankly, I don’t think I ever found the
hour we gained last fall, but that is another issue. Just remember, when you go to bed Saturday
night, March 8, set your clocks 1-hour AHEAD.

Aless Hall — LCG Property Mgr. & Controller
By Diane O’Shea
If you haven’t already met Property Manager / Controller, Alessandra Hall, perhaps this will serve
as a bit of an introduction. As busy as she is, wearing two hats, she has and does take time to
speak with those who seek her out. I dropped-in and asked if she would be available for an interview. She took time that very day, after her work day was over, while she could have been heading home to be with her husband and family.
Aless is a member of the Florida Property Managers Association and yet she finds time to take
continuing educations classes. The last three are two legal courses and a budgeting course, all
within the framework of the Florida statutes. When asked about the size of the LCG complex and
managing her time between the tasks of Property Manager and Controller, she gives credit to the
great staff here and her ability to delegate.
I asked what she saw as the future of our beautiful Lake Clarke Gardens. Aless has met a lot of
good and happy people here. She is sure that if we all work together for the betterment of LCG, it
will continue to be a thriving community.
Aless is pleased about the FOB key system and as you read this, they should be either working or
very close to implementation. The LCG Staff is being trained in the system’s use. I spoke with
Sam Achille, who owns Samco, the company installing the workings of the system, and he assured me that they will be here to train as well as maintain the integrity of the system. [As a
side note, do not throw away your blue and red tags, as they will continue to be used,
along with the FOB keys.] The object is to enhance the security of our property in every way
possible. Aless feels the greatest concern for security comes especially in the summertime, when
school is out and the snowbirds have gone north. The old saying about “safety in numbers” rings
true here.
Regarding her opinion of the newly resurrected Covenants Enforcement Committee, she said,
“Great, it’s meant to protect our rights and obligations as homeowners.” I then asked about her
recommendations to the Board as to how monies should be allocated and spent. “That’s my job,
to make recommendations to the Board”, she said. But she is also a realist and knows that the
Board may have other issues in mind.
What three projects does Property Manager Aless Hall see as the most important to implement in
the next 12 months? First, the lake. A large piece of concrete is sliding into it. The concern is
that electrical systems for the lake lights are under it! Second, whether to patch or redo our
parking lots. Third, tables and chairs at the pool complexes are rusting and destroying the concrete on which they sit. Getting a better product will be a good investment.
Thanks to Aless . . . it was a pleasure to meet and spend time with the “new” person-in-charge.
She is good humored, witty, bright and has an enormous amount of energy!
[Editor’s Note: Diane O’Shea is one of us! She is an LCG Unit Owner, originally from New York, and has
written a few articles for the NEWSLETTER.]
