Summit would pay for the cost of pipe line construction down Bulldog Drive to the exterior wall and the district would be responsible for internal connections and any modifications needed to use natural gas. The committee has directed the Superintendent to obtain quotes on identical services from Siemens and Honeywell and to include a set up to use dual fueled as part of the specifications. 14-05-22 Motion by Mr. Caverly, 2nd by Mr. Kinley to vote to authorize converting LHS-LJH to the use of natural gas with the backup for dual fuel capacity. Passed 9-0-0. 9. Superintendent’s Report Dr. Baker reported that today the district had an early dismissal for staff in all subjects and grade levels to work on identifying core learning objectives. The district will create assessments of proficiency for those next year as part of the new state requirements. Ms. Tompkins noted that the junior high school received the donation of an AED. The staff has already received training and the school is very appreciative of efforts to date. Assistant Principal Packard reported eight grade six students at Benton Elementary received $100 scholarships to add to a college savings. Students submitted essays on what their career plans may be School Board Minutes May 1, 2014 Page 4 of 5 and what college they would like to attend. Student scholarship winners are Keagan Alley, Tereasa Spaulding, Grace Leary, Natacha Valley, Dakota Webb, Colby Brann, Riley Sinclair and Brody Bickford. 10.
