POWER TOOLS
THE
PROGRAM
Employee
Orientation
OPERATIONS
In 2013, Power Design expanded our Project Management training
programs. The Quality Assurance and Training departments teamed up to
create an enhanced “Project Life Cycle” training program, which includes:
• An easily-accessible website with updates, documents and resources.
• In-class training “boot camp” for operations employees.
• Modular classes that allow new and existing employees assistance with
all operations functions and processes.
GOOD NEWS & EMPLOYEE
Family Additions
THE TRAINING
More than a dozen project managers have graduated from this two-week
“boot camp” program, which launched in the fall of 2013. The program
is designed to provide hands-on training and simulations around the life
cycle of a project. With a dedicated team of Operations trainers, Power
Design is committed to providing employees with hands-on training and
experience from day one.
TRAINING & WEBSITE
THE WEBSITE
THE LAUNCH
Training doesn’t stop at the classroom. Employees have access to a speciallydesigned website that provides an interactive “one-stop-shop” resource.
The website includes all of the processes, procedures, responsibilities,
matrices, software guides, tutorials, documents, etc., needed from project
start through completion.
The launch party included a “Project LIFE Cycle” interactive, competitive
game amongst our divisions. Each division had to maneuver through a
life-size game board by answering questions that can now be found in the
online website tool.
Employees access the online resource tool throughout training, giving
them hands-on experience with the content and where to find it from the
start. Whether a new employee or a seasoned veteran, the new Project
Management website is a valuable tool for our operations teams.
