CCSU’s MBA program attracts a diverse group of

community. Our core classes in accounting,
finance, management, marketing, and management
information systems provide a solid foundation that
will allow you to become a strategic leader in a global
marketplace. From the core, you’ll gain knowledge
of lean management, business intelligence, and
globalization.
You will have the option of specializing in accounting,
business analytics, or choosing your own, unique track.
Business Analytics Track
Data-based decision making is key to success in
today’s business environment. Effective leaders
understand the need to leverage information to
transform their businesses. With a specialization in
Business Analytics, you will:
• Understand the importance and use of corporate
data
• Develop new techniques in data management
• Learn predictive modeling, forecasting, and cluster
analysis
• Learn more about the theoretical and conceptual
framework of accounting
• Enhance your competency in financial reporting
• Develop the skills needed to use accounting information to make business decisions
• Gain the accounting course credits you need to become a CPA
Central Track
The “Central Track” allows you to choose from any
of the specialization classes to achieve your own
professional and educational goals.

Admissions
CENTRAL CONNECTICUT
STATE UNIVERSITY
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from a
regionally accredited institution of higher education
with an undergraduate GPA of 2.70 or higher and
a minimum GPA of 3.00 or higher in any postbaccalaureate coursework.

MBA PROGRAM
GMAT/GRE Requirements
Applicants with an undergraduate business degree:
• The GMAT/GRE is not required for an applicant
with an undergraduate GPA of 3.20 or higher from
an AACSB accredited business degree program.
Applicants with an undergraduate non-business
degree:
• GMAT/GRE is not required for applicants with
an undergraduate GPA of 3.20 or higher from
non-business degree programs with accreditation
from CAEP or ABET.
Applicants with business experience:
• The GMAT/GRE is not required for applicants
with five or more years of high-level business
experience and minimum 2.70 undergraduate
GPA. Applicants should provide details of their
experience on their resume.
GMAT/GRE Waiver
GMAT or GRE scores will be waived for applicants
holding a professional license, i.e., CPA, CMA, CFA,
master’s degree, or doctoral degree.
Conditional Admission
Applicants who are required to submit GMAT/GRE
scores and have not yet taken the GMAT or GRE
but have an overall undergraduate GPA of 2.70 or
higher may be considered for conditional admission.
These students may take a maximum of six credits in
the MBA program before submitting GRE/GMAT
scores. All full admission requirements must be met
when GMAT/GRE scores are submitted and assessed
in order to continue in the program.
