Stephen D. Porter, MHA Corporate Vice President of Sentara Northern Virginia and President of Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center Stephen D. Porter is the Corporate Vice President of Sentara Northern Virginia and the President of Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center. He has been a dedicated member of the Sentara team for more than 15 years who brings with him a strong commitment to the mission as well as the healthcare knowledge and experience to bring further success in Northern Virginia. Previous Experience With experience in the insurance and care coordination industry, Porter has served in several leadership roles in the health plan and hospital divisions since joining Sentara Healthcare. Porter served as President of Sentara Princess Anne Hospital, as well as President of Sentara Princess Anne Ambulatory Surgery Management, LLC, an ambulatory surgery joint venture between Sentara Healthcare and community surgeons. Most recently, he was responsible for the development and executive leadership of the Sentara Princess Anne Health Campus, a 72-acre comprehensive healthcare facility including hospital and medical office buildings in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He was also responsible for leading the development of Sentara’s care delivery network and model of care that will be utilized to support Sentara’s management of senior populations throughout Hampton Roads.
