Recall of the historical context
The action started in 2005, at instigation of CIMPA
Request from Chan Roath, the only mathematician teacher at the
university at this period
Aim : help Cambodia to reconstruct its educational system after
the Khmer Rouge period
Action : implement at RUPP a math. teaching of international
level (master courses)

Improvements/prospective
Gift of books from England (around 150) and Toulouse (?)
Connection with ITC and local actors (Institut Pasteur in PP)
Interaction with the undergraduate program (low level)
Opening with master programs in India, Philippines, Lebanon …
Great difficulties to find funds for mobility programs for the best
students that want to continue their studies till the PhD
(especially for Master programs)

Needs for new students (Sept. 2014)
We need to find financial supports for mobility programs - (at least) 5 new PhD students -  7 new students for Master programs abroad ; several tracks :
. 1 or 2 in Korea (including 1 woman)
. 2 or 3 in India or Thailand (ISP-IMU-CIMPA) or France (PGSM, Emma Asia …)
. Lebanon : good recommandation for 3 students (AUF+local support + IMU) but security
pbs
Request : ask CIMPA to help us to support 2 students (Master
mobility)
