Milk reception unit
MRU
Application
Standard design
The milk reception unit receives milk and milk products for
milk processing plants. The unit deaerates, measures and
pumps the product for further treatment.
The control cabinet, located above the pump, contains the
combined control system and operator interface. The cabinet
also houses the electrical circuits and contactors.
Working principle
The milk reception unit is designed for CIP cleaning.
The incoming milk product is introduced tangentially into a
vacuum vessel for deaeration. A centrifugal pump removes
the liquid from the vessel by suction. Level transmitters in the
vessel signal the control system to maintain the optimum liquid level inside the vacuum vessel and to adjust the flow rate
of the frequency-controlled pump.
Material
An electromagnetic flow transmitter measures the flow rate in
the pipe downstream from the pump.
All parts that come in contact with product are made of
stainless steel with semi-bright finish.
EPDM rubber seals.

Environment
In our environmental work we focus on the performance of our
products in use, identified as our most significant environmental impact. Important aspects are reduced energy and water
consumption, minimal food product loss, control of substances in the components, and that components can be dismantled and the materials reused when taken out of production.
