If driving from South or North bound M50, take the Ballymun
exit and drive towards the city centre and the Civic Centre is on
the left side of the road. Parking is available in the shopping
centre across from the civic centre.
City Centre to Ballymun
Civic Centre - Bus number 4 and 13
The bus stops in front of the Ballymun Shopping Centre and
the Civic centre is across from the bus stop.
Motor tax office is on the Ground floor and the Health Care
Facility is on the first floor.
No train or Luas accessibility.
Starting time between 8.30am and 9:30 am. Check with
Physiotherapist prior to placement. Finishing time 5pm.
LUNCH: 1 to 1.30 pm

Clinical Information
It is suggested that students familiarise themselves with the following
pathologies, assessment procedures and treatment options prior to the
beginning of placement.
Students are expected to utilise the physiotherapy facilities available in
preparation for all placements.

The students will see assessment and treatment of the
conditions mentioned in the specialty areas, in their placement
Speciality Areas (Conditions/Pathology commonly encountered)
Musculoskeletal conditions associated with subacute and
chronic backs, necks, shoulders, elbows and wrists. (eg.
whiplashes, cervical/pelvic spondylosis, SI joint dysfunction,
osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, work-related upper limb
disorders and movement dysfuntion)
Musculoskeletal paeds: Eg. Plagiocephaly, Torticollis, Femoral
Antiversion, Tibial torsion, Metatarsus adductus, pes cavus, pes
planus,
Developmental: eg. Developmental delays, sensory processing
disorders and Developmental coordination disorders.
