as the Bottle, the Dice, the Painter’s Palette and
Father Trébeurden.

A quelques miles de la côte, en face de Perros-Guirec, partons
à la découverte de
l’Archipel des Sept Iles,
la
plus grande réserve ornithologique de France. Parmi les 27
espèces d’oiseaux présentes, le fou de bassan et le célèbre
macareux-moine, ainsi que la colonie de phoques gris, font la
réputation de cet ensemble d’îlots rocheux. Une belle occasion
également de découvrir la Côte de Granit Rose depuis la mer !
Take a trip to explore the Sept Iles (Seven Islands) archipelago, a few
miles off the coast and the largest bird sanctuary in France. Among
the 27 species of bird here, the northern gannets, the famous Atlantic
puffins and the colony of grey seals have established the reputation
of this series of rocky islets. It’s also a great opportunity to explore the
Pink Granite Coast from the sea.
Nur wenige Seemeilen vor der Küste liegt der Archipel des Sept-Iles,
Frankreichs größtes Vogelreservat, das wir erkunden wollen. Von
den 27 Vogelgattungen, die hier vertreten sind, haben vor allem der
Basstölpel und der berühmte Papageientaucher sowie die Kolonie der
Graurobben diese Gruppe von Felseninseln so berühmt gemacht. Eine
gute Gelegenheit, die rosa Granitküste vom Meer aus zu entdecken!

One of the most famous coastal paths in France
(the GR 34) runs the length of the Pink Granite
Coast. The landscape changes with the seasons,
during flowering and when storms hit, and each
walk is full of surprises. From families on outings
to experienced walkers, there is something for everyone here.
Einer der berühmtesten Küstenwege, der Fernwanderweg GR 34, durchquert die Côte de Granit Rose.

is everyone’s favourite pastime, from 7 to

Cette architecture à pans de bois va perdurer à
Lannion jusqu’à la fin du XVIIe s.

past and the wealth of the town in the Renaissance.
This half-timbered architecture endured in Lannion until
the end of the seventeenth century.

le Léguer.
Petit fleuve breton qui s’ouvre en un superbe estuaire
sur la Baie de Lannion dominé par l’ancien site galloromain du Yaudet et les corniches de Beg Léguer.
Dans les méandres de la Vallée du Léguer, hérons
cendrés, plaisanciers et pêcheurs trouvent un refuge
idéal.
À l’embouchure, rive gauche, l’anse de la Vierge
et sa chapelle à la Vierge couchée dévoile ses
légendes, rive droite, s’étend la grande plage
naturelle protégée de Goas Lagorn.
And then there’s the River Léguer, a small river which
opens into a superb estuary in the Bay of Lannion and
is dominated by the ancient Gallo-Roman site of Yaudet
and the corniches of Beg Léguer. In the meanders of the
Léguer Valley, herons, yacht’s crews and fishermen find
an ideal refuge.
At the mouth of the river, on the left bank, there is the Anse
de la Vierge (Virgin’s Cove) and the Chapelle à la Vierge
Couchée (chapel with recumbent statue of the Virgin
Mary) reveal its legends, and on the right bank, the large,
sheltered beach of Goas Lagorn.
Und hier haben wir den Léguer, einen kleinen Fluss, der in
wunderschöner Umgebung in die Bucht von Lannion mündet. Hoch oben ragen die Überreste der römisch-gallischen Siedlung Le Yaudet und die Steilfelsen von Beg Léguer auf. In den Windungen des Léguer-Tals tummeln sich
Graureiher, ein Paradies für Freizeitkapitäne und Angler.
An der Mündung auf der linken Seite des Flusses offenbart die Anse de la Vierge mit ihrer Kapelle der liegenden
Jungfrau Maria ihre Legenden, während sich auf der rechten Flussseite weithin der natürliche geschützte Strand
von Goas Lagorn erstreckt.

Je poursuis ma découverte de la côte et m’arrête quelques instants sur
la Pointe du Dourven.
Ce domaine départemental nous invite à suivre une balade artistique, profiter d’un
point de vue remarquable et déambuler sur le GR 34, ce sentier côtier qui devient
mon fil rouge. Le panorama est à couper le souffle : de la Côte de Granit Rose au
Finistère, tout au loin.
Continuing round the coast, stop for a while at the Pointe du Dourven. On this publicly owned
estate, you can follow an artistic trail, enjoy a remarkable viewpoint and stroll along the GR 34,
the long-distance footpath which is a continuous theme around this coastline. The panorama
takes your breath away: views all the way from the Pink Granite Coast to Finistère.
Auf meiner Erkundungsreise der Küste mache ich ein paar Minuten an der Pointe du Dourven
Halt. Diese Landspitze lädt zu einem von Kunst gesäumten Spaziergang auf dem Küstenweg
GR 34 ein, der mir als roter Faden dient, und bietet einen bemerkenswerten Ausblick. Das
Panorama ist einfach atemberaubend und reicht von der rosa Granitküste bis hin zum weiter
entfernten gelegenen Finistère.

prédominante ici. Les gargouilles, les
clochers, les calvaires... cette roche
massive s’oppose aux détails des
décorations, des vitraux et des statues
parfaitement conservées.
Granite is ubiquitous here. The gargoyles, the
church towers, the Celtic crosses...this massive
rock contrasts with the details of the designs,
stained glass windows and perfectly preserved
statues.
Granit ist hier allgegenwärtig. Die Wasserspeier,
die Kirchtürme, die Kalvarienberge... dieses
massive Felsgestein stellt einen reizvollen
Kontrast zu den Details der sehr gut erhaltenen
Ornamente, Kirchenfenster und Statuen dar.

Le Grand Rocher,
à marée haute ou à marée basse, le paysage change à tout
moment de la journée. J’emprunte le sentier permettant
d’accéder au sommet, je monte les marches, je traverse
la forêt et enfin, j’arrive à la cime. Une sensation de liberté
m’envahit. Je me laisse entendre que ce site naturel a inspiré
des légendes bretonnes...
At high tide or low tide, the landscape around le Grand Rocher, the
large rocky outcrop with views over the Lieue de Grève beach, change
constantly. Take the path leading to the top, climb the steps and go
through the forest to arrive at the summit. Experience a sense of freedom and reflect on how this natural site inspired Breton legends.
Le Grand Rocher. Ob Ebbe oder Flut, die Landschaft ändert sich zu
jeder Tageszeit. Ich beschreite den Pfad, der zur Spitze führt. Ich
erklimme die Stufen. Ich durchquere den Wald und erreiche endlich
den Gipfel des großen Felsens. Und plötzlich fühle ich mich frei wie
der Wind. Ich verstehe, dass in dieser Landschaft einige bretonische
Legenden entstanden sind.
