CHECKLIST

TOP TIPS CHECKLIST:
First impressions last. Be polite and friendly and take a professional
approach when networking with the employers.
Be open-minded about talking to companies not on your list. All graduate
recruiters use a similar recruitment process and can offer valuable insight.
Plus they may have roles you never knew existed.
Don’t make assumptions about the kind of roles companies are recruiting
for. Finance is more than finance, technology is more than technology.
Large companies have a massive range of roles.
Try out our new interactive assessment zones. Find out more about the
recruitment process.
Visit our Careers Lounge and meet your Employability & Careers Team.
They’ll be there to answer your questions.
If you have your CV with you, see if you’d pass the graduate recruiters’
‘11 second test’.
Not sure what to ask?
No worries. Here are some suggestions to get you started:

What do you particularly look for in a student or graduate?
How can I make my application stand out?
What can I do now to prepare myself for your recruitment and selection process?
What work experience do you expect your graduates to have when applying?
Can you tell me more about what your graduate programme involves?
What support and training would I receive?
What kind of careers have past graduates gone on to have?
