10th Annual Gala and Auction
Thank you to those that joined us to
celebrate 10 extraordinary years of the
Boys and Girls Club of Marshfield
and honoring Dan & Sue Burke, Jim
& Lisa Murphy, John & Lori Valianti
(featured on pg 2) as well as our youth
of the year Michaela Nee!
The continued generosity and support
of the community is greatly
appreciated and we were able to raise
more than $120,000. The proceeds
from the Gala will go a long way
toward allowing us to continue
providing our quality programming.
It was a fun evening with delicious
food, live and silent auctions, Billy
Costa as emcee and a surprise visit
from Ray Bourque!
Please visit our Facebook page to see
pictures from the event. We had such
a great time that we are already
starting to plan for next year! Please
mark your calendars for February 28,
2015 for next year’s Boys and Girls
Club’s Gala.

Fund-in-Need
At the Gala, we raised over $12,000
for financial assistance program. This
will greatly assist local families in
financial need and allows deserving
kids to experience the simple joy of
attending summer camp.
David Warsofsky of
the Providence Bruins pledged to donate
one week of camp
for every goal he
scores. Currently he
has 6 goals totaling
$1,200 towards our
financial assistance program.
If you would like to help us reach our
goal, please feel free to visit our website to make a contribution.

Youth of the Year Michaela Nee
This year’s youth of the year is Michaela Nee. Being named Youth of the Year is the
highest honor a Boys & Girls Club member can receive. The title recognizes outstanding contributions to a member's family, school, community and Boys & Girls Club.
Michaela received a scholarship check, funded by Beverly and Phil Johnston.
At the age of 17 Michaela has overcome many obstacles that most people will never
endure in a lifetime and continues to rise above them. She is honest, caring, hardworking, and the true essence of what it means to be a role model.
