RCH is happy to announce that Cricket Rice has
recently become certified to help our patients
that do not have health insurance understand,
apply and get enrolled for health insurance
coverage through the Marketplace. Cricket will
continue to perform her regular duties at RCH,
but is excited to be able to help others in her new
capacity. Please feel free to refer any of our
patients to Cricket if they have any questions or
concerns about the new changes in insurance.
The health insurance exchange uses important details in your life to find out if
you can qualify for government tax subsidies to help pay your premiums. Open
enrollment will be from October to December in 2014 but right now people are
able to purchase insurance if they have a qualifying event such as loss of job,
change in coverage cost, change of income, having a baby, getting married, etc.
Cricket is not able to help with KanCare applications but she is able to help
people get the information they need if they do not qualify for tax subsidies
through the marketplace.
