About programme:
VIT Campus organized a Boot Camp Training for the students of Engineering and Management in
association with NEN as Knowledge Partner and with Progress Software and Head start-up as program
partner from 19 Aug -2 Sep' 2014.
Management principles to take
In the Bootcamp students learned how to use market-driven Product
ideas, validate them and create a compelling business strategy. Not only
that, but you’ll get to pitch your product idea and plan to a panel of angel investors. It’s a 15 day program in
which student will work on campus from 19- 25 August'2014 and will again back to campus on 1 &2
September for the Pitching & in between, they will work with the mentors off campus. For the same,
applications are invited from the students. The registration fee for the boot camp training is Rs.1000/-.
Background to Programme: Introduce students to a method of learning with the people and involve
students in the process of reflecting upon and understanding their development problems and finding
solutions.
Objective of the programme: This programme lends itself especially well to teams, groups, events and
away-days. It can be delivered at short notice to deal with an immediate business challenge or tailored to
target a specific business issue. It will enable:

Quick and effective idea generation.

Creativity to be unleashed to solve business challenges.

An improvement in team dynamics and the ways they work together.

The immediate use of a creativity techniques toolkit – relevant to business.

Detailed Structure of the programme:
Day 1: Resource person – Dr. Radhika Shankar (NEN): She explained how to go beyond brainstorming
to generate more high-value innovation project ideas from a variety of sources including internal innovation
and R&D sessions, current and potential customers, and suppliers in the value chain. Students will learn how
to use a variety of advanced ideation techniques, and how to generate ideas from outside the organization
using tools such as open innovation and social media technology.
