Crieffvechter Farmland
The land at Crieffvechter lies in the heart of Strathearn,
Perthshire approximately 2 miles to the east of Crieff
and occupies a prime position to the south of the A85
and north of the River Earn.
The property lies to the east of Crieff and is only 1½
miles to the south of the main A85 Perth to Crieff road.
From the north exit the A85 onto the ‘Highlandman
Loan’ to the west of Gilmerton. Continue on
Highlandman Loan crossing over the first crossroads
and after ½ mile turn left onto the farm access track.
A single block of arable land to the south of the A85 which lies between the 40 and 70
meters above sea level and is gently sloping to the south. There are currently seven
fields all of which are a good workable size and shape. The total area as per the IACS
plan extends to 148.49 acres (60.09 hectares) or thereby.
The land is predominantly Class 31 as detailed by the Macaulay Land Use Research
Institute (now the James Hutton Institute) and the soil types are of brown forest which is
