David has experience in negotiating and drafting corporate sale and purchase agreements, farm-out agreements and a product sharing contract. He has assisted and run a variety of due diligence exercises, has drafted transaction documents and has run the Master Deed process in its online and paper form. David did a short secondment at a leading IOC where he supported the in-house legal team with a large UK continental shelf transaction. Represented a Dubai incorporated energy company on its proposed acquisition of acreage in Somalia. Represented OMV (UK) on its acquisition of participating interests in a number of UK continental shelf and Norwegian upstream licences from Statoil AS for US$2.65 billion. Represented OMV (UK) on its farm-in to five exploration blocks in the Faroe Islands from Statoil. Represented a European energy company on its proposed exit from certain blocks in Kurdistan.
