Toy Business Forum analyses future trends in the toy industry

Forum at Spielwarenmesse: Wednesday to Sunday, 13:00 – 15:00 in hall
3A
The Toy Business Forum takes place parallel to Spielwarenmesse 2015. At this
free forum, national and international speakers discuss topical aspects of a
specific theme.
For example, Dr. Jens Rothenstein from the Institute for Trade Research in
Cologne gives recommendations on how the trade should use digitization to
reach and retain customers.
The American trend expert Reyne Rice provides an outlook on the future at
the Toy Business Forum, when she reveals the latest international future
trends and explains why these in particular will capture the markets.
Nicolaus von Graeve, Managing Director of Rabbit eMarketing in Frankfurt,
shows how toy retailers can implement e-mail marketing for specific target
groups. He also reveals what targets can be reached using the mailing tool.
The presentation by Ulrich Brobeil, Director of the German Association of the
Toy Industry, and Steffen Wilde, is geared to online activities in the toy trade.
The two lawyers deal with the burning legal issues in trade, advertising and
customer retention.
The Placement Generation was followed by Generation Y, which is now being
replaced by Generation DIY. To help the retail trade understand what makes
“the new consumers” tick, Cirk Sören Ott, Executive Board Member of the
Nymphenburg Consult Group in Munich, analyses them in his presentation.
Ulrica Griffiths from Griffiths Consulting in Munich shows that public relations
is not just something for international concerns. The communication expert
explains the three steps to successful PR for the retail trade.
Klaus Lach, Managing Director of OWD GmbH Agentur für visuelles Marketing,
explains why tomorrow’s retail presentation should be more “emotional,
innovative and design-orientated”.
The Thursday at the Toy Business Forum is devoted to licenses. A national and
an international panel of license experts, such as Endemol, m4e, Rovio
Entertainment and Turner Broadcasting, present the trends from the industry.
