Dr Owi S. Ruivivar
Managing Director, Fixed Income Emerging Markets Debt
Goldman Sachs Asset Management – Singapore
Owi S. Ruivivar is a senior portfolio manager on the Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM)
Fixed Income Emerging Market Debt (EMD) team. She serves as the economist responsible for
statistical and econometric analyses of emerging market countries in the fixed income portfolios
and leads the overall business development of the EMD effort. Ms Ruivivar relocated to
Singapore in 2010 to assume additional responsibility for managing Asian exposure within fixed
income portfolios and for building GSAM’s fixed income business and emerging market debt
capabilities in Asia. She joined Goldman Sachs in 2002 as a vice president and was named
managing director in 2011. Prior to joining the firm, Ms Ruivivar worked at BNP Paribas, most
recently as head of global emerging market debt strategy. Earlier in her career, she worked in
economics research at the International Monetary Fund and at various other international
development institutions. Ms Ruivivar earned a PhD in Economics in 1997 from the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she was a National Science Foundation Graduate
Fellow. She earned an AB in Economics, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from Harvard
University in 1992.
Ms Eleanor Seet
President and Director
Nikko Asset Management
Eleanor Seet joined Nikko Asset Management (AM) Asia in October 2011 as the President and
Director. She is responsible for driving the growth of Nikko AM Asia in Singapore and South East
Asia. Ms Seet has spent her entire career in the asset management industry and has a strong
background in the sales and marketing of investment products. Prior to joining Nikko AM Asia,
Ms Seet held the role of Senior Director for iShares, Private Wealth Distribution, Asia ex-Japan
from June 2009. Previously, she spent 12 years at AllianceBernstein, where she was responsible
for building and developing the firm’s distribution channels and business. She earned her role as
Director of South East Asia with her strong performance in business development and strategic
outlook. In that capacity, she was responsible for the overall strategy and execution of the firm’s
product offerings in South East Asia via intermediaries. Ms Seet graduated with a Bachelor of
Economics from the University of New South Wales, Sydney and holds NASD certification in Series
6.
Ms Elaine Yew
Member of Global Executive Committee and Managing Partner, Singapore
Egon Zehnder
Elaine Yew is a member of Egon Zehnder International’s Global Executive Committee, and
concurrently the Managing Partner of the Singapore office. Ms Yew’s work is focused on senior
level executive search and leadership development, specifically the succession planning for CEO
and other C-level positions. She is also actively involved in advisory work on board effectiveness
and succession. Ms Yew joined Egon Zehnder in 2000 in London and spent her first nine years
with the firm there, developing the private equity practice in Europe. Before joining the firm,
Elaine was an Executive Director with Goldman Sachs in the European Equities Division, based in
London. Earlier, she was a Consultant with Monitor Company, working across Europe with clients
in diverse sectors. She started her career with the Singapore Economic Development Board
where she was at the centre of early regionalization work, helping Singapore companies develop
their presence in Indochina and Myanmar in the early 1990’s. Ms Yew has a BA (Hons) in English
& Drama from the University of Kent and an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France.

Ms Veronica Eng
Founding Partner
Permira
Veronica Eng is a founding partner of Permira, a European private equity firm with global reach.
Ms Eng currently serves on the Board of Permira, chairs the Permira funds’ Investment
Committee and had oversight of the firm’s operations in Asia. Prior to June 2011, she was the
Fund Minder of Permira IV, Permira Europe III, Permira Europe II and Permira Europe I. Over the
three decades with Permira, Ms Eng has worked in wide ranging roles in many Permira
transactions across sectors and countries including acquisitions, exits, restructurings, boards and
financings in addition to being on the Board and the EXCO of Permira. She is a board member of
CAMRI at the NUS Business School and the Asia Private Equity Institute at SMU. Prior to joining
Permira, Ms Eng was Head of Corporate Finance at Schroder Investment Bank in Singapore. She
has a degree in Business Administration (1st Class Hons) from the University of Singapore,
Singapore.
