Sir Knights of Bienville Assembly 314,
On November 25th we had our meeting at Marquette
Council Hall. Due to the holiday week the attendance was
low. I want to thank all who came out in the cold and took
time to attend. For our meal we had cold cuts of ham and
Swiss cheese with lettuce and tomatoes on French buns.
We had several dress outs in the month of November. On
November 1st, we had the Nuns appreciation Mass and
reception at St. Stephen’s Church. Fourth Degree
members of De La Salle Council 3411 hosted this event.
On November 9th, we had a Mass for Veterans at Holy
Name of Mary Church in Algiers. On November 15th, we
had a Mass at Our Lady of Divine Providence Church, in
Metairie, to honor the 50 years that the Sisters of Divine
Providence arrived in the United States from Rome. On
November 23rd, we had a Mass at St. Rita’s Church in
Harahan to commemorate Christ the King. On November
29th, the 4th Degree dressed out for the funeral of our
late brother, Sir Knight Frank S. Bruno. His family very
much appreciated the 4th Degree being part of the
ceremony.
I want to thank our Color Corp Commander, Sir Knight
Lynn Boudreaux, for all he does to promote the 4th
Degree and lead us in procession in Church.
Vivat Jesus!

We need to increase our membership this term and the easiest way to

in good standing to join us. To that end, we are in need of Sir Knights
to visit Councils – in regalia – to advertise who and what we are and
stand for. Please contact our new membership director,
Paul Eckert, to volunteer.

A Message of Importance to all Sir Knights of Bienville Assembly:
My Dear Sir Knights:
Our Faithful Comptroller will soon be sending notices to all of you requesting
payment of your Dues, the donation to the Patriotic Fund and other such annual
collections. My interest is that of the E.R.E. fund, for which our Assembly is
assessed according to the number of Sir Knights in membership. So, if our
members don’t donate a sufficient amount on their own, our Faithful Purser is still
required to pay the difference out of our treasury. This really hurts!!
I therefore am pleading with you to support this fund, (E.R.E.), so that we can be
proud of our work here in Bienville Assembly. After all, Excellence in Religious
Education (E.R.E.) should be sought and protected by all of us.
Watch for the notice from our Faithful Comptroller, S/K Barry Waller, and observe
all of the requests therein. Everything requested, except the annual dues, is
voluntary, but I have a good feeling that we will all want to contribute to all of the
funds as requested.
VIVAT JESUS!
S/K L. A. Grossimon, E.R.E. Chairman
