SCHOOL OF EDUCATION PROFESSIONAL FOUNDATIONS PROGRAM 2014 Monday 17 - Friday 21 February www.uq.edu.au/education Important Information Welcome to the Professional Foundations Program (PFP) 2014. The PFP features important program and career information designed to support students with enrolment, professional experience, teacher registration, ethical and professional standards and employment. Attendance The PFP will be held at the St Lucia campus on Monday 17 – Friday 21 February 2014. The 2014 Professional Foundations Program (PFP) is compulsory for the following students: Final Year Bachelor of Education (Primary and Middle Years of Schooling) program; Final Year Bachelor of Education (Secondary and Middle Years of Schooling) dual degree program; Graduate Diploma in Education (Secondary) program and; Final Year Bachelor of Health, Sport and Physical Education program. Registration will be required each morning in the lecture theatre foyer. You are required to sign-on before the commencement of each main session (that is, 8.30am and after lunch). Please be seated at least five (5) minutes before the start of each session. Presenters during PFP are invited guests and should be treated with courtesy. Please switch off your mobile phone and keep noise during the sessions to a minimum. School of Education Careers Fair Education recruiters and employers will be available for students to meet during the Education Careers Fair on Thursday 20, 11.00-1.00pm. A list of recruiters attending will be available at the commencement of the PFP week. Friday Session An optional First Aid course will run for students on Friday. Please refer to page 7 for details.
