Gondwana card terms & details (Namibia) Gondwana card terms & details (Namibia) NAMIBIA Discount To qualify for the discounts the guest must be in possession of the Gondwana card when doing the reservation. • Adults: Rate for accommodation and Canyon Mule Trekking tours less 50 percent • Children between the ages of 6 and 13 years: children rate for accommodation (50 percent discount) less 50 percent; children under the age of 6 stay for free • Activities and dinner less 25 percent For standard rates and information on our accommodation facilities please see www.gondwana-collection.com; for details about our children policy kindly contact our reservations department. Utilization The card may be used throughout the year – for the Canyon Mule Trekking tours and all the accommodation facilities of the Gondwana Collection, including campsites, excluding the Geisterschlucht Cabin. It is not strictly necessary to book in advance, but it is advisable. Confirmation is subject to availability. Payment has to be made 30 days prior to arrival. Apart from the Gondwana Card the holder’s ID has to be presented at the accommodation facility in question. Online Bookings • Payment for online bookings will show as PAYBRIDGE on your statement • Meals and activities are to be paid directly at the accommodation facility • The lodges cannot accept debit cards for payment. Dinners and American Express cards are not accepted in Namibia. • In cases where access to the online booking system is misused for persons who are not entitled to the Gondwana Card discount, the Gondwana Collection Namibia reserves the right to permanently withdraw membership rights from the person(s) responsible Cancellation fees more than 28 days before arrival - 10% 22 - 28 days before arrival - 20% 15 - 21 days before arrival - 30% 8 - 15 days before arrival - 50% 4 - 7 days before arrival - 75% 1 - 3 days before arrival - 90% Other advantages With our electronic newsletter (about every three months) we keep you updated on the latest developments in our parks and accommodation facilities. Gondwana card terms & details (Namibia) Registration Anyone with a valid ID or a Permanent or Temporary Residence permit from Namibia is entitled to apply for the Gondwana Card.The card’s registration fee is N$ 100 for adults and N$ 50 for children between the ages of 6 and 13 years. The validity of the card is indefinite for Namibian citizens and Permanent Residence permit holders. A Temporary Gondwana Card will be issued for Temporary Residence permit holders (validity of card according to validity of permit). Your card will be issued by our office in Windhoek. We require: • The completed application form (full surname and first names, in block letters please) • Copy of ID or residence permit • Passport photo • Proof of payment Send them by post or simply complete the form online and attach a scan of your ID/residence permit, photo and the deposit slip or transfer. Important note: Please do not send your ID or residence permit by fax; such faxes often turn out so dark that most of their content is lost. If you send your proof of payment by fax, please write your name in block letters, and write “Gondwana Card” into the reference line in large letters. The process of issuing the Gondwana Card usually takes 5 working days. We will mail your card to you by post.
