Ltd. - Implemented an Indoor Mapping solution – Kidhar, using a Django framework for the backend and Javascript for frontend. Sasken Communication Technologies - Contributed to the VyapaarSEWA project - a cloud based e-market for farmers in rural India. Developed and tested a high-level architecture. Internship Program in Technology Supported Education – Worked with professors from Carnegie Mellon University and Arizona State University to create an educational game called enLIGHTenment using the Unity game engine. Projects • • • • • • • Navigation for the Blind - Worked with Prof. Ted Moallem of Massachusetts Institute of Technology on a mobile app that uses a phone’s camera and audio output to provide basic navigation capabilities to the blind. Balanar’s Adventures - Created a 2-D platformer adventure game, with original soundtracks and artwork. Solar Tracker - Designed hardware and software for a solar tracking solution used in a solar energy generator. SLR Parser - Programmed a Simple LR Parser and optimized it to run on multi-core architecture using OpenMP. WRF Climate Model – Developed an installer for the WRF climate modeling software and ran forecasts of Cyclone Phailin for an ongoing project to disseminate weather forecasts and natural disaster warnings to rural India. The Manhole Project – Developed an innovative remote object detection and dispensing system, as part of the MIT Design Innovation Workshop held at PESIT University, Bangalore (mitdi.wikispaces.com). Unknown Horizons – Contributed bug fixes to the open source project Unknown Horizons, a real time strategy game (www.unknown-horizons.org). Extra-curricular • • • • Speaking: Conducted workshops on game development, embedded systems and programming in Python in college and conferences in Bangalore. Student Chapters: Organized events and workshops as part of the IEEE VIT Student chapter. Running: A regular runner. Took part in three 10k runs and 4 half marathons at different locations in south India. Cycling: An avid cyclist. Completed a 550km ride from Manali to Leh (in the Himalayan Mountains) over 10 days.
