Project Group 4 - The British Schools

Dear Parents of 5fth Year Students,
As part of the IB Programme, all students must participate in a Group 4 Project (Computer
Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics).
This project is a collaborative activity where students from different Group 4 subjects work
together on a scientific or technological topic, allowing for concepts and perceptions from across
the disciplines to be shared. The aim is to “encourage an understanding of the relationships
between scientific disciplines and the overarching nature of the scientific method”.
This year 2014, Year 5 students are performing 25 different studies/investigations under the
general topic of “food”.
The students and Group 4 teachers would like to invite you to attend the student presentations on
Thursday 2nd October, from 1100 to 1500 in the Green Room, located in the new learning
area. Entrance will be through Senior School (Havre 2267).

Estimados Padres de Alumnos de 5to Año de Liceo:
Como parte del programa IB, todos los alumnos deben participar de un proyecto de Group 4.
Este proyecto es una actividad grupal donde alumnos de distintos tópicos de Group 4 trabajan
juntos en un tema científico o tecnológico, compartiendo conceptos o percepciones desde
distintos enfoques disciplinares. El objetivo de esta actividad es “alentar el entendimiento de las
relaciones entre disciplinas científicas y la naturaleza abarcativa del método científico”.
Este año 2014, alumnos de 5to año de Liceo están involucrados en 25 investigaciones
diferentes, bajo el tema común “comida”.
Los alumnos y docentes de Group 4 cordialmente les invitan a participar de las presentaciones
de los alumnos el jueves 2 de octubre, de 1100 a 1500 en el Green Room, ubicado en el área
nueva de aprendizaje. La entrada se hará por Senior School (Havre 2267).
