Hints PMS (Property Management System) are Frontoffice-Systems for Hotels, Facilities etc. When connected to the PMS-System the IAC-BOX asks for existing customer data and use it to verify credentials for the login process. Also additionally costs can be directly booked on the hotel room's bill. The setup will be provided by your PMS IT-Partner. This module can be enabled in the WebAdmin menu Modules/Interfaces. Please note the following hints: • In order to use the PMS-Interface on the IAC-BOX you need to license it. Also you need the appropriate module for your PMS-System. • To use this Module you need to activate the option „Room Logon“ in the WebAdmin menu Client Logon/Design • To use this Module you need to select and configure at least one ticket template for it PMS Configuration s2|6 IACBOX.COM 2. Configuration For the accurate configuration of your PMS-System please ask your ITPartner. Please note the following hints: • Pay attention to the 3 green lights on top of the configuration (see 3. Troubleshooting) • Make sure to use the same character set on the IAC-BOX and on the PMS-System • In order to use this module you need to activate and configure at least one ticket template for „PMS“ • In the help-menu you can find a detailed description of each configurable field PMS Configuration s3|6 IACBOX.COM 2.1. VIP Guest – Free Logon This option allows you to differentiate between „Default“ guests and VIPguests. If you configure „VIP Guest – Free Logon“ a new field VIPTemplates will be enabled in the WebAdmin menu Tickets/Templates. All guests with this PMS status assigned will get a ticket according to the settings configured in this menu. 2.2. Membership group mapping If you enable „Use VIP / Membership group mapping“, a new Option called PMS: Groups. will be enabled in Tickets/Templates. Her you can create VIP groups which you can assign different ticket template to. For example different prices for gold membership, platin membership (…). PMS Configuration s4|6 IACBOX.COM Click on „Create“ to configure a new VIP group. Enter a name and description for the group and assign ticket templates to it. Here you can select ticket templates, which were activated for the use with „PMS“ beforehand. You can also select multiple ticket templates from this list, which will result in a selection while logging in. Please note that the configured name of the VIP group must be identical to the configured name in the PMS system itself (case sensitive). 2.3. PMS Blacklist With the „PMS Blacklist“ you can exclude rooms from the PMS logon. 2.4. Demo PMS If you configure „Demo PMS“, you can test the PMS-login with predefined login data as listed below. PMS Configuration s5|6 IACBOX.COM 3. Troubleshooting The most common problem with PMS-systems is that the connection can not be established. This problem can result from different conditions, for example the PMS-system is not reachable in the defined network, or also the connection is not allowed over the configured port (Connection Refused). In order to test the connectivity, you need to try to establish a telnet connection with a random client in the same network (mostly like OfficeLAN). telnet 192.168.1.10 9099 PMS Configuration s6|6
