E’ MEGLIO SUDDIVIDERE I PRODOTTI IN BASE ALLA TECNOLOGIA DI RINFORZO O ALLE PRESTAZIONI?
Esistono dei rinforzi per un tubo per il giardino che si comportano meglio
degli altri? Sicuramente si! Ma la miglior scelta del tubo non può essere
limitata al tipo di rinforzo perché esistono altri parametri che influenzano
la qualità del prodotto acquistato.
Uno dei più importanti è lo spessore del tubo che dipende, oltre che
dalla scelta del suo peso, anche dalla qualità del materiale plastico utilizzato e dalla quantità di materiale inerte (carica) contenuto nella formulazione: una presenza elevata di CaCO3 conferisce al tubo un peso
elevato ed elevata rigidità, soprattutto alle basse temperature.
Come si può vedere dal grafico, una percentuale elevata di CaCO3, a
parità di peso del tubo, consente di risparmiare quasi il 25% sul costo
di acquisto della materia prima. Per questo motivo, in questo catalogo,
non abbiamo suddiviso i prodotti in base al loro rinforzo ma in funzione
di un giudizio sintetico legato alla loro qualità perché il miglior prodotto
si ottiene abbinando il rinforzo più performante, la migliore formulazione
del materiale plastico ed un elevato spessore del tubo.
SHOULD PRODUCTS BE DIVIDED INTO GROUPS ACCORDING TO THE REINFORCEMENT TECHNOLOGY OR THEIR PERFORMANCE?
Do certain types of garden hose reinforcement behave better than others? Definitely yes! Nevertheless, the selection criteria cannot be
limited to the kind of reinforcement, since many more parameters determine the quality level of the purchased product. Among them,
the wall thickness depending on the hose weight and the quality of the plastic material employed along with the charge contained in its
formula: a high percentage of CaCO3 gives the hose considerable weight and rather high stiffness, especially at low temperatures.
The graphic above shows that a high percentage of CaCO3, while comparing hoses of equal weight, allows saving roughly 25% on the
purchase of raw materials. For such reasons this catalogue is not divided into product groups basing on their reinforcement: the hoses
are listed according to a quality statement, since the best product results from combining the most performing reinforcement with the
best plastic material formula and a high wall thickness.

Weisen gewisse Gartenschlauchverstärkungen ein besseres Verhalten als andere auf? Die Antwort ist ein klares Ja. Die beste Wahl
eines Schlauchs kann sich jedoch nicht auf die Art der Verstärkung beschränken, da weitere Kriterien für die Qualität des gekauften Produkts ebenso eine Rolle spielen. Darunter die Wandstärke, die vom festgelegten Schlauchgewicht sowie von der Art des eingesetzten
Kunststoffs samt der in der Rezeptur enthaltenen Charge abhängt: ein hoher CaCO3 -Gehalt erhöht das Schlauchgewicht und verleiht
ihm ferner eine erhebliche Steifheit, insbesondere bei niedrigen Temperaturen. Andererseits zeigt o.a. Graphik, dass ein hoher Anteil an
CaCO3 bei gleichbleibendem Schlauchgewicht eine Kosteneinsparung von fast 25% beim Rohstoffeinkauf ermöglicht. Aus diesem Grund
werden die Produkte im vorliegenden Katalog nicht nach Art der Verstärkung, sondern nach Beurteilungsnoten unterteilt, denn die beste
Produktqualität ergibt sich aus der Kombination von Gewebeverstärkung, bester Kunststoffrezeptur und hoher Wandstärke.
RÉPARTITION DES PRODUITS SELON LES PERFORMANCES OU SELON LA TECHNIQUE DE RENFORCEMENT?
Existent-il des renforcements pour tuyau d’arrosage qui performent mieux par rapport à autres? Bien sûr! Pourtant le choix du tuyau
plus approprié ne peut pas se limiter au type de renforcement, car bien plus de paramètres conditionnent la qualité du produit acheté.
Un des plus importants est l’épaisseur, qui dépend du poids déterminé pour chaque type de tuyau, de la qualité du matériau plastique
utilisé ainsi que de la quantité de charge prévue pour la formulation. Un haut contenu de CaCO3 rend le tuyau plus lourd, ce qui lui donne
une rigidité considérable, surtout aux basses températures.
Le graphique en haut signale qu’un pourcentage assez haut de CaCO3, en considérant tuyaux du même poids, permet de réduire de presque 25% le coût des matières premières. Ce catalogue ne présente donc pas les produits groupés selon leur renforcement, mais plutôt à partir d’une note synthétique résultante de la qualité du produit, car le meilleur produit est obtenu sur la base du renforcement le
plus performant, de la meilleure formulation de matériau plastique ainsi que d’une haute épaisseur du tuyau.

LA TECNOLOGIA BREVETTATA SMT®: L’UNICO SISTEMA EFFICACE CONTRO LA TORSIONE ED IL KINKING DEL TUBO
Per molti anni i tubi per il giardino non sono stati oggetto di particolari attenzioni e di innovazioni; solo con il diffondersi di accessori per l’irrigazione
ci si è resi conto di alcuni difetti che accompagnavano l’uso dei tubi rinforzati; i tradizionali tubi retinati si dimostravano facili al “kinking” (piegatura
con ostruzione del tubo) mentre i tubi magliati erano soggetti a torsione sotto pressione.
Gli utilizzatori, e soprattutto chi riteneva più performante l’uso del tubo magliato, ne apprezzava la malleabilità ma non accettava la torsione del
tubo sotto pressione e ne chiedeva un miglioramento.
In effetti, la pressione dell'acqua agiva sulla struttura non equilibrata della maglia e lo faceva ruotare nel tentativo di raggiungere uno stato di equilibrio; quando però la pressione veniva tolta, il tubo tentava di ritornare al suo stato iniziale.
Per risolvere questo problema, inizialmente era stata inserita una spirale di fili in senso opposto alla rotazione della maglia e successivamente si
era introdotta la maglia elicoidale, entrambe però non risolvevano completamente il problema ma si limitavano a contrastarne gli effetti.
Nel 2012 abbiamo presentato il rinforzo SMT® (Steady Mesh Technology) e, con la sua maglia esclusiva e brevettata, abbiamo rivoluzionato il settore del giardinaggio superando tutte le tecnologie tradizionali risolvendo i problemi d’uso dei tubi comunemente commercializzati.
I vantaggi di questo nuovo sistema di rinforzo derivano sostanzialmente dalla sinergia tra un rinforzo retinato ed un rinforzo magliato che permette,
con un solo strato di rinforzo, di conseguire un risultato di assenza di torsione, malleabilità, resistenza alla pressione, elasticità e maneggiabilità
unica durante l’uso. A differenza dei molti sistemi chiamati “anti-torsione”, che non risolvono totalmente la tendenza del tubo a torcersi sotto pressione oppure tendono a generare piegature ed occlusioni, il rinforzo SMT® è stabile e malleabile grazie al disegno del suo rinforzo che migliora la
raccolta del tubo ed evita, durante il suo uso, strozzature e nodi. L’utilizzatore potrà apprezzarne il valore comparandolo con qualunque altro tubo
flessibile disponibile sul mercato.
PATENTED TECHNOLOGY SMT®: THE ONLY EFFECTIVE SYSTEM PREVENTING TORSION AND KINKING OF THE HOSE!
For many years garden hoses were not considered in terms of innovation; only when the irrigation accessories were launched on the market
people became aware of some drawbacks concerning the use of reinforced hoses: the traditional braided hoses frequently showed to be subject
to kinking, while knitted hoses were subject to torsion under pressure. The end users asked for improvements, especially those who considered
the knitted hoses to be the more performing ones, appreciating their flexibility while not accepting the hose torsion under pressure.
As a matter of fact, the water pressure acted on the unbalanced mesh structure and made the hose rotate, aiming at restoring the balance; however, as soon as pressure was taken, the hose tended to go back to the initial status. To solve this problem, a yarn spiral was inserted in
opposite sense to the knitted mesh rotation; later on a helicoidal mesh stitch followed. However, neither the former not the latter did completely
solve the problem: their action was limited to contrasting the effects.
In 2012 we launched the SMT® reinforcement, acronym of Steady Mesh Technology. Its exclusive and patented knitted mesh was a revolution
within the garden sector, beating all traditional technologies and completely eliminating the functionality problems of the hoses available on the
market. The advantages of the new reinforcement technique are substantially based on the synergy between a braided and a knitted hose,
obtaining with a single reinforcement layer best malleability results, pressure resistance, elasticity and a unique manageability in use.
Other than several so-called “anti-torsion” systems which do not totally eliminate the hose tendency to twist under pressure or even to bending
and obstructing, the SMT® reinforcement is stable and malleable thanks to its reinforcement design that makes the hose roll-up easier and avoids
kinks and knots. The user will be able to appreciate its value when comparing it to any other flexible hose available on the market.
PATENTGESCHÜTZTE SMT®- TECHNIK: DAS EINZIGE EFFEKTIVE SYSTEM ZUR VORBEUGUNG VON SCHLAUCHTORSION UND KNICKVERHALTEN
Gartenschläuche wurden jahrelang hinsichtlich innovativer Ansätze nicht besonders beachtet. Erst als Bewässerungszubehör eingeführt wurde,
stellte der Markt einige Nachteile beim Einsatz von gewebeverstärkten Schläuchen fest. Die herkömmlichen Kreuzgewebeschläuche wiesen ein
nachteiliges Knickverhalten mit daraus folgendem Verschließen auf (Kinking), während Trikot-Schläuche unter Druck einer Torsion ausgesetzt
waren. Die Endverbraucher forderten eine Lösung; insbesondere diejenigen unter ihnen, die den Trikot-Schlauch für leistungsfähiger hielten,
schätzten dessen Geschmeidigkeit, lehnten jedoch dessen Torsionsverhalten unter Druck ab.
In der Tat wirkte der Wasserdruck auf die unausgeglichene Maschenstruktur ein und führte dazu, dass der Schlauch sich drehte, in dem Versuch,
den Ausgleich zu schaffen. Als der Druck weggenommen wurde, neigte der Schlauch dazu, die Ausgangssituation wieder herzustellen.
Als erster Lösungsversuch wurde eine Gewebespirale eingesetzt, die entgegen der Maschendrehrichtung verlief; später wurde eine helikoidale
Maschenverstärkung eingeführt. Beide Ansätze waren nicht in der Lage, das Problem zu lösen und beschränkten sich vielmehr darauf, die negativen Auswirkungen einzudämmen.
2012 präsentierten wir die SMT®-Verstärkung - Akronym von Steady Mesh Technology. Durch ihre exklusive, patentgeschützte Maschenstruktur
führte SMT® eine regelrechte Revolution auf dem Gartensektor herbei: Sämtliche herkömmlichen Techniken waren endlich überholt, und die Nachteile der gängigen, auf dem Markt erhältlichen Gartenschläuche ein für alle Mal beseitigt. Die Vorzüge dieser neuartigen Verstärkungstechnik
gehen wesentlich aus der Synergie von Kreuz- und Trikotgewebe hervor, die es ermöglicht, durch eine einzige Verstärkungslage Torsionsfreiheit,
Geschmeidigkeit, Druckfestigkeit, Biegsamkeit und eine einzigartige Handlichkeit zu gewährleisten.
Anders als die sogenannten “torsionsfreien” Schläuche, die der Neigung des Schlauches, sich unter Druck zu winden, oder dem Knick- und Quetschverhalten nicht ganz entgegenwirken, bleibt der Schlauch dank der SMT® - Verstärkung in hohem Maße stabil und geschmeidig – und dies
dank des besonderen Aufbaus, der das Schlauchaufrollen erleichtert und Verknotungen und Quetschungen vorbeugt. Der Anwender kommt somit
in den Genuss der offensichtlichen, konkreten Vorteile, die SMT® gegenüber jedem anderen auf dem Markt erhältlichen Schlauch bietet.
LA TECHNOLOGIE BREVETEE SMT® : LE SEULE SYSTEME EFFICACE CONTRE LA TORSION ET LES NŒUDS DU TUYAU
Pendant plusieurs années, les tuyaux d’arrosage n’avait été guère objet d’étude en termes d’innovation; seulement à l’arrivée des accessoires
pour l’irrigation sur le marché on constata l’existence des certains défauts liés à l’utilisation des tuyaux renforcés: si les tuyaux guipés d’un côté
présentaient la tendance à se nouer (kinking), les tuyaux tricotés étaient soumis à torsion sous pression.
Les utilisateurs s’attendaient des améliorations, parmi eux surtout ceux qui considéraient le tuyau tricoté comme plus performant, appréciant sa
maniabilité mais au même temps n’acceptant pas sa torsion sous pression.
En effet, la pression de l’eau agissait sur la structure peu équilibré de la maille en faisant tourner le tuyau dans l’essai d’atteindre une situation
d’équilibre. Dès que la pression était enlevée, pourtant, le tuyau tendait à retourner à son état initial.
Comme solution à ce problème, on avait d’abord rajouté une spirale en fil courante dans le sens contraire à la rotation de la maille de renfort;
après quelques temps, la maille hélïcoidale avait été introduite. Les deux améliorations n’avaient toutefois livré la solution intégrale du problème,
en se limitant à contraster ses effets.
En 2012 nous avons lancé le renforcement SMT®, acronyme de Steady Mesh Technology. Avec son exclusive maille brevetée cette technologie a
révolutionné le monde de l’arrosage, en dépassant les techniques traditionnelles et donc éliminant tous problèmes d’emploi donnés par les tuyaux
disponibles sur le marché. Les avantages de ce nouveau système de renforcement sont garantis essentiellement par la synergie entre un renfort
guipé et une maille tricotée, combinaison qui permet, avec une seule couche de renforcement, d’obtenir un effet anti-torsion, malléabilité, résistance à la pression, souplesse et une maniabilité à l’emploi unique.
Contrairement à plusieurs systèmes qu’on appelle “anti-torsion” qui ne neutralisent guère la tendance du tuyau à se tordre sous pression et qui
plutôt facilitent la formation de nœuds et occlusions, le renforcement SMT® est stabile et malléable grâce au dessin de sa structure qui rend plus
facile le ramassement du tuyau, en évitant aussi la formation de nœuds et étranglements pendant l’emploi. L’utilisateur pourra apprécier ses

FPS TECHNOLOGY
FPS - FOAM PRODUCTION SYSTEM
I primi tubi in materiale plastico utilizzati nel settore giardinaggio erano dei monostrato senza rinforzo, avevano spessore elevato, non avevano problema di “kinking” ma tendevano a rigonfiarsi ed a scoppiare se lasciati sotto il sole.
Con l’avvento dei tubi retinati, rinforzati cioè con una doppia serie di fili avvolti in senso opposto sul tubo, si ottenne la soluzione
al problema dello scoppio; la ricerca di soluzioni sempre più economiche ha portato, però, a ridurre sempre più lo spessore
del tubo in considerazione che era il rinforzo a conferire la resistenza allo scoppio.
Ben presto ci si rese conto che non era importante solo la resistenza alla pressione ma doveva essere possibile maneggiare
il tubo senza incorrere in strozzature e nodi (kinking) che impedivano il flusso dell’acqua; purtroppo la riduzione dello spessore
del tubo ne facilitava la piegatura che generava subito dopo un kinking.
Ci sarebbe voluto un tubo leggero ma di grosso spessore e resistente alla pressione!
Per questo abbiamo sviluppato il sistema FPS (Foam Production System) con il quale lo strato intermedio del tubo viene espanso a celle chiuse in modo da
aumentare lo spessore della parete del tubo senza aumentarne il peso.
Visto al microscopio o con una buona lente, lo strato intermedio del tubo presenta un aspetto spugnoso ma tenace, l’ideale per ottenere una riduzione di
circa il 20% della densità del materiale plastico senza ridurre la resistenza alla pressione.
L’incremento di spessore conferisce una migliore malleabilità al tubo e ne riduce la tendenza al kinking; inoltre il tubo è più facile da maneggiare e si avvolge

FPS - FOAM PRODUCTION SYSTEM
The first hoses made from plastic materials employed for gardening purposes used to be one-layer hoses with a considerable wall thickness. They didn’t
show any kinking problems; however, they tended to swell and burst if left in the sun.
The bursting issue was solved by developing braided hoses; their reinforcement consisted in a double series of yarns crossing each other along the hose.
The continuous search for more inexpensive solutions, however, led to steadily reducing the hose thickness, thus taking for granted that the reinforcement
was in charge of the bursting resistance.
Very soon it was realized that a major issue along with the pressure resistance was the hose handling, since occlusion and kinking stopped the water flow;
as a matter of fact, reducing the hose wall thickness caused the hose to kink more easily.
What was needed was indeed a light weight hose, nevertheless having a considerable wall thickness and ensuring pressure resistance!
For this purpose we have developed the FPS - Foam Production System, provided with a closed-cell expanded middle layer giving hose a higher wall thickness
without increasing the weight.
Examined under the microscope or with a good lens, the intermediate hose layer looks sponge-like but is tough at the same time and ensures the ideal
solution to achieve roughly 20% reduction of the plastic material’s density without lowering the pressure resistance. The increased wall thickness improves
the hose malleability and reduces its tendency to kinking; besides, the hose is easier to handle and to be rolled up with the cart wheel.
ADEGA Srl uses the FPS technology for braided hoses, obtaining a torsion-free hose with a unique touch sensation and, above all, ensuring best features
in use; the hoses manufactured with the FPS system show greater manageability compared to the majority of low quality knitted hoses available on the
market, thus granting high added value.
FPS - FOAM PRODUCTION SYSTEM
Bei den ersten Kunststoffschläuchen handelte es sich um einlagige Produkte ohne Gewebeverstärkung – dickwandig und schwer. Solche Schläuche neigten
zwar nicht zur Knick- und Knotenbildung, wiesen andererseits einige Nachteile auf – unter anderem eine gewisse Neigung, anzuschwellen und zu bersten,
wenn sie zu lange in der Sonne liegen blieben.
Mit der Entwicklung des Kreuzgewebeschlauchs, dessen Verstärkung aus übereinander gekreuzten Gewebefäden bestand, wurde das Berstproblem der
Schläuche gelöst. Parallel dazu wurde die Suche nach kostengünstigeren Varianten fortgesetzt, was ergab, dass die Wandstärke immer weiter reduziert
wurde, in der Annahme, die Verstärkung allein mache den Schlauch druckbeständig.
Bald stellte sich heraus, dass neben der Druckfestigkeit auch die Handhabung des Schlauchs eine wesentliche Rolle spielte, wobei Knick- und Knotenbildung
vermieden werden sollten, die den Wasserdurchfluss beeinträchtigten. In der Tat förderte die reduzierte Wandstärke das Knickverhalten und die daraus
folgende Knotenbildung.
Die perfekte Lösung wäre ein leichtgewichtiger, dickwandiger und zugleich druckfester Schlauch gewesen!
Und eben deshalb haben wir das FPS – System (Foam Production System) entwickelt. Kennzeichnend ist seine mittlere Schicht aus dichtzelligem Kunststoff,
die eine erhöhte Wandstärke bei unverändertem Schlauchgewicht zulässt.
Unter dem Mikroskop oder einer hochwertigen Lupe betrachtet, weist die mittlere Schlauchschicht eine schwammartige jedoch feste Konsistenz auf, die
es ermöglicht, die Kunststoffdichtheit um etwa 20% zu reduzieren, ohne dass der Schlauch seine Druckfestigkeit einbüßt. Die erhöhte Wandstärke macht
den Schlauch geschmeidiger und schränkt die Knickbildung ein; der Schlauch ist einfacher zu handhaben und lässt sich leicht auf dem Schlauchwagen aufwickeln.
ADEGA Srl wendet die FPS-Technik bei Kreuzgewebeschläuchen an und bietet somit einen torsionsfreien, besonders angenehm anzufassenden Schlauch,
der hervorragende Eigenschaften bietet. Der nach der FPS-Technik hergestellte Schlauch ist wesentlich handlicher als die meisten auf dem Markt erhältlichen,
preiswerten Kreuzgewebeschläuche – eine Tatsache, die einen erheblichen Mehrwert mit sich führt.
FPS- FOAM PRODUCTION SYSTEM
Les premiers tuyaux en matériaux plastiques étaient des produits monocouche sans renfort, d’épaisseur considérable et donc assez lourds; ils ne présentaient
aucun problème de nœuds (kinking) mais souffrait pourtant d’autres défauts: entre eux, une certaine facilité à se gonfler et à éclater si laissés au soleil.
Avec l’introduction des tuyaux guipés, c’est à dire avec renfort consistant en deux séries de fils croisés, on acheva la solution au problème de l’éclatement.
La quête de solutions de plus en plus économiques amena d’autre part à réduire graduellement l’épaisseur du tuyau, tout en considérant le seul renforcement
comme responsable de la résistance à l’éclatement.
Bientôt on se rendait compte que, à côté de la résistance à l’éclatement, il était indispensable de pouvoir utiliser le tuyau sans qu’il se pliait et se nouait,
bloquant ainsi l’écoulement de l’eau: malheureusement, c’était l’épaisseur réduite qui facilitait les plis qui avait comme conséquence la formation de nœuds
(kinking).
Il aurait fallût un tuyau lève et au même temps de grande épaisseur, et en plus bien résistant à la pression!
C’est la motivation qui nous a portés à développer le système FPS (Foam Production System), avec une couche intermédiaire en matériau alvéolaire qui
hausse l’épaisseur du tuyau sans en augmenter le poids.
Vu au microscope ou avec une bonne loupe, la couche intermédiaire se présente spongieuse mais tout à fait tenace, donc idéale pour obtenir une densité
de matériau plastique réduite d’environ 20%, sans diminuer sa résistance à la pression. L’épaisseur augmentée donne au tuyau une malléabilité supérieure
et réduit sa tendance à se nouer (kinking); en plus, le tuyau est plus maniable et se laisse enrouler plus facilement sur le chariot.
ADEGA Srl applique la technologie FPS au tuyau guipé, en obtenant comme résultat un tuyau anti-torsion, d’une souplesse extraordinaire et avec caractéristiques d’utilisation optimales. Le tuyau produit avec le système FPS est bien plus maniable que la plupart des tuyaux tricotés premier prix disponibles sur
le marché, ce qui comporte une remarquable valeur ajoutée.

di esercizio, è facilmente calcolabile come segue:
• per i tubi giardinaggio = 40% della pressione di scoppio
• per i tubi tecnici = 33% della pressione di scoppio
Nel caso di utilizzo del tubo a temperature maggiori di 20°C, la
pressione di scoppio subisce una riduzione, secondo il grafico allegato. La temperatura massima di uso è indicata sulla scheda
del prodotto.
PRESSURE RESISTANCE
As far as some of the reinforced hoses are regarded, this catalog
only indicates the burst pressure at 20°C; the maximum working
pressure can be easily calculated as follows:
• for garden hoses = 40% of the burst pressure
• for technical hoses = 33% of the burst pressure
In case the hose is used at temperatures exceeding 20°C, the
burst pressure value shall decrease according to the attached
graphic. The maximum working temperature is indicated on each
product page.
