Continuing Professional Development (CPD) for Registered Electrical Worker (6)
This CPD aims to:
1. Apply registration renewal for Registered Electrical Worker (REW) with Electrical and Mechanical Services Department
(EMSD);
2. Introduce the relevant Electricity Ordinances, Electricity (Registration) Regulations and Electricity (Wiring) Regulation;
3. Provide the knowledge in safety requirement in conducting electrical work;
4. Provide the knowledge in the inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations.
REW apply registration renewal on or after 1 January 2012 is required to have completed a training covering the following
two modules before submitting the application:

Visual inspection and testing, Sequence of tests, Testing methods;

Inspection checklists;

Work completion certificate (WR1), Periodic test certificate (WR2).
