Title of the thesis
1. Introduction
2. Motivation
3. Objective(s) and Scope (Research Problem/ Question and Hypothesis)
4. A brief review of the work already done in the field (Literature Survey) At least 10 work
in last 3 years must be referred.
5. Proposed Methodology/ Plan of work during the tenure of the research work
6. Expected outcome of the proposed work
7. List of Publications based on the research work (Attach one set of reprints)
8. Proposed contents of the thesis (for Social Science Subjects Only)
9. References (Bibliography)
Guidelines for Synopsis:
A. Guidelines for Front Page:
1. The Title of the topic should be in Times New Roman, 24 Font size, Bold.
2. The word ‘SYNOPSIS’ should be in Times New Roman, 24 Font Size, Bold.
3. All other heading should be in Times New Roman, 14 Font Size with 1.5 Spacing.
4. No colour should be used in the text.
B.Guidelines for the content of the synopsis:
1. The Content of the synopsis should be in 12 font size Times New Roman with Single
spacing.
2. The headings of the synopsis should be in Time New Roman, 14 Font Size, Bold.
3. The synopsis should be duly signed by Supervisior / Co- Supervisior on front page.
4. No ornamental bordering is required.
5. Page numbering should be done at the bottom of the page and should be in center.
6. Synopsis should be spiral binded.
Guidelines for RDC
1. Candidates have to clear all their first year dues before the date of RDC or otherwise they
will not be permitted in RDC.
2. Seven copies of synopsis should be (hard copy spiral bind) submitted by 24th December
2014 to Research department between 10 am to 5 pm. If candidate fail to do so then
he/she will not be able to appear in RDC.Templates, Style and format of synopsis to be
strictly as per guidelines given.
3. Candidates have to prepare a power point presentation of their synopsis. The content of
the presentation should reflect the key points of their area of research. The presentation
should be mailed to the following Email-id ([email protected]) minimum
five days before the RDC.
4.
The Duration of the Presentation will be of 10 mints and minimum 10 slides. It should
also include time frame proposed for work with various milestones.
