NEW RESIDENT INFORMATION
Welcome to Rim Crest! This packet contains information to ensure an easy transition to your new
summer home. This is a very active and friendly community and we hope you will take advantage of all
there is to do here.
CLUB HOUSE
The club house is the location of most on-site activities. It has the capacity to seat 100 people and
includes kitchen facilities to accommodate large groups. It also includes the following:





COFFEE KLATCH – every Thursday at 9:00 a.m. we have a coffee klatch. Over coffee and
donuts, we discuss happenings in the park and upcoming events. It’s a great way to meet fellow
residents and stay informed.
LIBRARY – the library is maintained by a park resident. Donations are always welcome. If you
borrow or donate a book, please do not file it yourself. There is a basket for incoming books.
NAME TAGS – Just inside the door is a board with all the resident name tags. Please wear them
at all park events in the club house.
POOL TABLE – the pool table is covered with boards for the crafters to use. They can be
removed to play pool. Please replace the boards when you are finished.
WI-FI – there is free wi-fi in the clubhouse. Ask if you need the password.
CRAFTS – There is a craft room near the laundry room. Crafts are on Monday, Wednesday and Friday
from 1:00 to 3:00. Everyone is welcome to work on their craft or learn something new.
ELECTRIC BILLS – Meter reading takes place on the 15th of the month. The bills are put in your
mailbox. Please make your checks out to Rim Crest RV Park and put it in the mailbox by the office.
EXERCISE ROOM – The exercise room is located off the laundry room. All the equipment there has
been donated. Please use at your own risk.
LAUNDRY – The laundry is by the office. It has 6 washing machines and 4 dryers. The washer is
$1.00 and the dryer is 50 cents. Please do not use more than two washers and dryers at a time in prime
hours. Do not overload the machines. Report any problems to the managers.

All packages are put in the laundry room for pick-up. If you are to receive a package, the mailman will
put a note in your mailbox. If your package is to arrive by FedEx or UPS, you need to check the laundry
room.
PARK ACTIVITIES – GROUP LEADER CONCEPT
All park activities are decided upon by the residents. The park is split into five Activity Groups and
each group has a leader. Each group is assigned one month to determine, organize and host the
activities. In addition, there are many recurring activities, bible studies, crafts, etc. Refer to the monthly
calendar for more information. The calendar is posted on the Rim Crest Website and is distributed at the
beginning of the month in each resident’s mailbox. We also send out Email blasts with reminders of
upcoming events and breaking news.
Most events require you to sign up. There are clipboards below the event flyers in the club house. Sign
up is required to we know how many chairs to set up, how much food to buy, etc.
PARK DATES
The park is open from April 15th to October 15th, unless you live in the year-round section in the front of
the park.
PINE NEEDLES – Pine needles should be removed from your lot by May 15th. If you cannot clean up
your own needles, park management will arrange the clean-up for a nominal charge.
RECYCLING AND TRASH - The left dumpster at the front entrance is for household garbage only.
Do not put any pine needles, large wood, metal, tree limbs, etc. in the dumpster. Trash bags containing
pine needles may be stacked next to the dumpster for disposal. Boxes must be flattened and put in the
recycle dumpster. Please remove Styrofoam and plastic from your boxes. There are metal cans for
aluminum recycling.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
The rules and regulations contain additional information. Here are some items that may require your
review:
 Site Maintenance and Improvements
 Personal Property Taxes – Navajo County mails the property tax bill at the end of September.
You can pay in two installments, the first due on November 1st and the second due on May 1st of
the following year.
SPEED LIMIT – is 5 MPH throughout the park. This pertains to vehicles and golf carts. Speeds in
excess of 5 MPH increases dust and noise from the gravel roads.
WEB SITE – The park website is www.rimcrest.com. You will receive a card with instructions on how
to get to the tenant portion. It contains the latest calendar and flyers, the tenant directory, and much
more. Check it out!
