1. Who is the required roofer?
Response: Required roofer name will be issued with amendment #3.
2. Who furnishes the hoods for DD?
Response: Hoods are GC furnished and installed.
3. Do we install a new RPZ black flow preventer in the mechanical room?
Response: No
4. Is the kitchen sinks provided by the owner?
Response: GC furnished, GC installed
5. Is there any kitchen gas equipment being installed?
Response: No
6. Is saw cutting during normal working hours or after hours?
Response: After hours
7. What extent do we clean the metal ceiling grid?
Response: Clean to like-new condition
8. Will the retail area in Phase I and Phase 2 be closed during construction at the same
time? Due to the ceiling work.
Response: No
9. The drawings reference a signage contractor, what is the name of the signage company?
Response: AAFES will have an Express signage vendor, and a Duncan Donuts signage
vendor.
10. Who is the owner referring to in the drawings?
Response: In the drawings, the name “owner” references “AAFES or THE EXCHANGE.”
11. What is the name of the company providing the millwork?
Response: AAFES furnished, contractor installed
12. Can as-builts be provided if needed?
Response: Original construction drawings and remodel drawings are available. There
are no as-builts available.
13. Is there any testing and balancing for the HVAC?

Response: GC to provide testing and balancing.
14. Reference sheet A1B, Is there a space designated for a construction container and
dumpster?
Response: Coordinate container and dumpster location with store manager.
15. On form 4450-024, page 3, the solicitation document indicates remodel to barber shop
but that is not consistent with the drawings or specifications.
Response: Barber shop is not in scope for this project.
16. Reference sheet A.0., note 14, is the roof under existing warranty?
Response: This question will be answered in amendment #3.
17. Aside from the base approved roof contractor and owner fixture contractor are there any
other recommended or required subcontractors?
Response: No recommended subcontractors.
18. Are any architectural structural sheets available for this project?
Response: Original construction drawings are available.
19. Reference sheet A3A, owner supplied/vendor equipment schedule. Does proposal
pricing include vendor equipment furnish/install or just GC supervision coordination?
Response: GC to make final electrical/water/drainage connections on all equipment in
addition to supervision/coordination.
