Call for Papers
The research centre EconomiX, affiliated with the CNRS and University of Paris Ouest, is
pleased to host the International Conference on “Energy prices: macroeconomic and
financial impacts” that will take place in Paris on 4-5 June 2015 with the financial support of
the Conseil Français de l’Énergie. The aim of the conference is to bring together original research
in the area of energy price dynamics, by paying particular attention to their macroeconomic and
financial impacts.
Topics of interest
We welcome submissions on the following topics:




Energy prices, global imbalances, and exchange rates;
Energy price shocks, monetary policy, and fiscal policy;
Energy price volatility;
Interdependences between financial markets and energy markets.
Both theoretical and empirical papers are welcome.

Submit a paper for presentation
Only full papers may be submitted, preferably in pdf-format. Papers must be in English and
must include a cover page with the following information:



An abstract of up to 500 words, with JEL classification codes and no more than 5
keywords;
Authors’ full name, affiliation;
Contact details for corresponding author, such as address, phone and e-mail.

Deadline for paper submission is: February 15, 2015
All submitted papers will be peer reviewed according to a high-quality and fast referee process.
Final decisions regarding submissions will be delivered no later than March 31, 2015
Paper presenters are expected to discuss one other paper during the conference. The discussant
assignments will be provided by the workshop organizers at a later date.
Publication opportunities
The authors of outstanding research papers are invited to submit them to a special issue of
International Economics (http://www.journals.elsevier.com/international-economics).
The procedure for submitting the papers to this journal will be specified in due course.
