In the Spanish Endurance Championship 2014 admits any vehicle touring or coupe, whether or not homologated. 1.1.a Vehicles Homologated FIA such as NGT, GT3, GT2 and GT1 are forbidden, as well as the ASN homologated GT-Rallys with more than 3.000cc for Tarmac Spanish Rally Championship. 1.2 All the vehicles will be based on the corresponding Technical Regulation they belong to. (FIA Homologation Form or Single Brand Cup Manual). Those that do not have homologation may access it through the specifications issued by ASN Technical Department. 1.3. The Organisation Committee saves the right to admit or not a vehicle, depending on its performance, preparation level or any other reason. Also the Organisation Committee saves the right to change the category of a vehicle, depending on its performance, features, preparation level or any other reason. 1.4 The Organizing Committee along with the ASN, can add an additional weight (ballast) to any vehicle that its performance remains halfway between two categories, with the goal of closer to the benefits of the lower category. It will be the Technical ASN Committee that will decide how much weight has to be added, as well as its location and sealed. 1.5 Invited Vehicles. The Organizing Committee can invite any kind of vehicle from the following list specified. This vehicles can not punctuate or block points, but can opt to Podium. ARTICLE 2.- DEFINITIONS OF ADMITTED VEHICLES In the following competition we define technically six categories of admitted vehicles: D1, D2, D3, D4, D5 and D6 D1 In this Category we include the GT4, Touring vehicles and Silhouettes whose weight/power is not less than 2,8 Kg/Hp. (Reference Model: Ginetta G50 GT4) D2 In this Category we include all those vehicles whose weight/power is not less than 3,2 Kg/Hp. (Reference Model: Seat Leon LR MK2) D3 In this Category we include the Seat Leon Supercopa that maintains the characteristics of the Single Brand contest 2006-2012. D4 In this Category we include all those vehicles whose weight/power is not less than 4 Kg/Hp. (Reference Model: Renault Clio Cup 2013) D5 In this Category we include all those vehicles whose weight/power is not less than 4,8 Kg/Hp. (Reference Model: Renault Clio Cup until 2012) D6 In this Category we include all those vehicles whose weight/power is not less than 5,3 Kg/Hp. (Reference Model: Seat Ibiza Trophy) In this Category we include the OPEN MICHELIN TROPHY as described in Art. 2.2 of the Present Regulation. 2 2.1. The List of vehicles in subdivision A is as follows: D1 Chevrolet Camaro SS GT4 Chevrolet Corvette C6 GT4 Donkervoort D8GT GT4 Ferrari 360 Modena Challenge Ford Mustang FR500C GT4 Ginetta G50 GT4 (engine 3.7l) Ginetta G55 GT4 KTMXBow GT4 Lotus Evora y 2Eleven GT4 Maserati Trofeo GT4 Peugeot Spyder Porsche 996 Cup (manual gearbox) Porsche 997 GT4 Solution F D2 BMW Z4 GT4 SeatLeon LR MK2 (sequential gearbox) Volkswagen Scirocco GT24 D4 Nissan 350Z Opel AstraOPC Cup Peugeot RCZ Cup D5 Renault Clio Cup Evo (2006-12 without ballast) Hyundai Coupe Evo 2.1.a. Vehicles described in Article 5 of the Present Regulation that do not comply with the provisions of this article, will be automatically replaced in the category immediately above. 2.2. Single makes vehicles - Vehicles coming from other single makes Spanish Cups and the European Circuits and Rallies are admitted, as long as the power/weight ratio is not less than 2,8 Kg/Hp. - These cars will follow the Regulation of each corresponding single make Cup corresponding to the year celebrated, being admitted the technical modifications even aside the specific regulations of the cup. If any participant wants to effect any technical modification, will have to do then as described in Article 7 of the present Regulation. If the ASN Technical Department gives its approval then the Organising Committee will evaluate it and depending on the modifications, decide if a change of category is needed. 3 2.2.a FIA Homologated Touring Are admitted all those vehicles that have the FIA Homologation in Group A and N. The interested team must have their vehicles Homologation Form, issued by FIA. Being admitted technical modifications even derogating form specific Regulation Gr A and Gr N. If any contestant wants to do this modifications, will have to do it as described in Article 7 of the present Regulation. If the ASN Technical Department gives its approval then the Organising Committee will evaluate it and depending on the modifications, decide if a change of category is needed. 2.2.b ASN Homologated Touring. Are admitted all those vehicles that do not have the FIA Homologation file and do not come from a single brand cup, as long as they have the acceptance from the Organising Committee. The interested team will have to present all the vehicle technical information to the Organizing Committee and this in turn will submit it to the ASN Technical Commission. Once accepted they will be in possession of the corresponding homologation issued by the ASN. 2.2.c GT Vehicles These vehicles must have the same technical specifications as the Spanish GT Championship. 2.2.d Diesel Are admitted in all the Categories vehicles, which are considered Touring, powered by an engine that uses diesel as fuel. The criteria for acceptance are: - FIA Homologated vehicles Group A and N - Vehicles FIA non homologated using the A or N vehicle homologation file from the same brand and model, but with fuel engine, being able to accept the possible homologation variants in the therefore mentioned file. - ASN Homologated Vehicles. Vehicles will be placed in the Category which best suits according to their performances. 2.2.e. Open Michelin Can participate in this Challenge all the vehicles with a weight/power not less than 6 Kg/Hp. (Reference Model: Hyundai Getz) It will be mandatory for all the competitors to fit Michelin tyres, establishing a maximum of four (4) per event. 2.3 To be able to constitute a category in each race, will have to take part at the starting grid, at least 2 competitors by event. If not, the engaged vehicles will be placed in another category, under Organisation Committee judgement. 2.4 Is also admitted as fuel, the use of GLP. The vehicles that use it, must agree with the European regulation (Nº67 Regulation) active, as according to the Order ITC/1968/2007 from Spanish Ministry, in the following sections: a) Fuel tank and degasified. 4 b) c) Conduits from the tank to the engine. Accessories and electro valves. For the refuelling, they will have to use the provided system in RE 67 from E.U Regulation. Will have to be executed inside the corresponding box with the maximum security measures established in Spanish 2014 PCCCE. ARTICLE 3. RULES FOR INSCRIBED VEHICLES All the inscribed vehicles will have to obey the Actual Regulations, Annexe J and the provisions of the present Regulation. Any kind of infraction of this Technical Regulation, will be the subject of a sanction under the Stewards judgement, can lead to being excluded from the race. 3.1. The vehicles should have an original petrol tank or a security one, with at least the same capacity as the original one (excepted the models that have an origin capacity lower than 45 litres, in this case, they can carry an additional security one, with a maximum capacity of 30 litres and can be combined with the original). In case you install one of security it will have to be FT3, FT3.5 or FT5, which is in compliance with the 252.9.5, 252.9.6, 254.6.8 and 255.5.9 article of the J's Annexe. 3.2. Vehicles must have the safety resources of the Regulation they belong to installed. Otherwise, starting the race can be denied or excluded. 3.3. It is very important to assure the correct installation of the exhaust or bumper, among others. 3.4. Teams may strengthen tow hooks, front and rear, with the aim of facilitation the extraction, provided they do not protrude from the perimeter of the vehicle when viewed from above, in sort to avoid representing danger to the other participants. The towing hook should be visible to naked eye and clearly identified. 3.5. A general short-circuit should cut off all electronic circuits (Battery, alternator, lights, coils, starter, etc...) and also stop the engine. This short-circuit must be an anti-spark model and must be able to be activated from the inside as well as from the outside of the vehicle. It must be clearly identified by a red lightning mark inside a blue triangle, surrounded by a white line with a minimum of 12 cm. base. 3.6. It is allowed in all the categories: a. To take out the co-pilot’s seat (Rally Vehicles) b. Take out the inside carpets c. Fixations, supports for the length regulator for the driver seat, when it obeys the Regulation in 253.16's article J's Annexe. d. The spare wheel and its supports can be removed always respecting the minimum weight of the vehicle. e. Vehicles can use the original headlights, with a minimum of 45 Watts, it is not permitted to install additional headlights. 3.7. The vehicles must have rear lights installed with a minimum of 5W, also brake lights with a minimum of 21 W. The installation of an anti-fog or rain, back light is also compulsory, which can be clearly seen from behind and which has an circumference optical of 50cm2 and a lamp of 21 W minimum. In case of bad 5 weather conditions, the above mentioned light will have to be connected from the moment that the Race Director gives the order, and must be turned on as long as the vehicle is on the track. These orders will be given from the signal control situated on the finish line with banners. 3.8. The inclusion to the vehicles of a hole in one or both windows is authorised, this is only for the air to get in from the outside, to ventilate the driver’s area and not any mechanical element. In this case the flow of air can be directed towards the driver using flexible conductors, if and when the driving are correctly fixed. 3.8. The Technical Delegate can raffle the electronic switchboards of all vehicles originating from the Singles Make Cups. The affected teams will have to give their switchboards to the mentioned delegate in the place and time determined for its raffle and once the meeting is finished it will be returned to each team affected. The technical Delegate can also change the switchboard of a participant for another one given by a brand. ARTÍCLE 4. VERIFICATIONS RULES AND TECHNICAL CONTROLS. The verifications will be done as mentioned in Art. 18. of The Common prescriptions of the Championships, Cups, Trophy's and Challenges 2014, according to Art. 19, 20 and 21 of the Sports Regulations for Championships, Cups, Trophy's, and Speed Circuit Challenges of Spain 2014. - The Scrutineers by mutual agreement with the Race Director and Stewards Panel, can verify the conformity of a vehicle at any time during the meeting, requiring the driver/competitor to disassemble the part/s object of verification. - Every driver/competitor who refuses to submit to any technical control will be excluded from the event. - Any part to be verified can be compared to a new original part. - The drivers or competitors are the only responsible of the conformity of the fitted parts in their vehicle and will have to assure the legality before its use. - The invoices from disassembly-assembly from the verified parts as the shipment, and Scrutineers expenses will be on driver/competitor's behalf. - If the Scrutineer considers it, before the qualifying session or race can raffle all the participants switchboards. In this case it will be communicated on the announcement board the date and the time to be done. The drivers/competitors that do not want to be part of the overcome will be automatically excluded from the event. - The Technical Scrutineering can be done: a) In the Circuit b) In the facilities that are designated by agreement between the Technical Delegate and the affected team. In this last case, the vehicle will travel sealed and the charges will go to the competitor, leaving them in a reserved place and locked up until the start of verifications. The travel and Scrutineers shall be paid by the competitor. - The disassembly/assembly of the mechanical parts to be verified will be done by a maximum of 2 mechanics designated by the participant. - The parts that during a technical scrutineering, are not in accordance, will be retained by the Stewards, the driver will not receive any compensation. - All measurement and control tools used to carry out the technical scrutineering are to be approved by ASN and the competent bodies in the field. 6 ARTICLE 5. SPECIFIC NORMS For those teams that participate with a Seat Leon MK2, Renault Clio Cup, Hyundai Coupe, Nissan 350Z or Mini Challenge and that want to benefit with what is established in Article 7 of the present Regulation, it is only authorised what follows, if they want to remain in their division. If there are more changes than the one indicated here, will move into a higher division: 5.1 MINI CHALLENGE (EVO) • Assembling a group locking. QDF38Z ATB. • Assembling a Quaife gear box. QKE34Z. • Assembling a Clutch kit SACHS SA883089000080. • Changing radiator is allowed by another one with the following dimensions: 590 mm x 40 mm x 350 mm • Changing Intercooler is allowed for another with two volumes L-shapped, FORGE brand and dimensions: 530 mm x 70 mm x40 mm + 530 mm x 200 mm x 35 mm • It is possible to lighten the body shell following parts: Front Bonnet in fibreglass Rear Bonnet in fibreglass Rear side windows in polycarbonate Rear bonnet windscreen in polycarbonate It is forbidden to make changes in the other sections (body, windscreens, brakes, suspension, gearbox, engine, etc), to be included as described in the Technical Manual for the Mini Challenge. Minimum Weight: 1.060 Kg. 5.2 RENAULT CLIO (EVO) For all the Competitors with a Renault Clio (2006-2012) vehicle that decide to participate in Division 5 there are three options: 5.2.a. Renault Clio Cup: Without any modification and implementing strictly the 2006-2012 Cup Regulation. Minimum weight: 1.060 Kg. 5.2.b. Renault Clio Cup Evo: The following modifications are allowed. • Preparation of the cylinder head by machining the intake and exhaust pipes. • It may be mechanized from the inlet manifold from its cylinder head pipe union, until the butterfly box, having to maintain this butterfly original and the therefore said housing. • It is allowed to change the original camshafts as well as their drive pulleys. • The valves and valve springs are free, allowing the exchange of hydraulic follower by mechanical ones. • Pistons are allowed to be changed by other as long as the diameter does not change. (The rest of the engine components will also meet with the Renault Clio Cup Technical Regulation). • Injectors. • Switchboard • Gear box end group. • Changing original shock absorbers for other with the following features: 7 Has to be monotube, hydraulic and gas, without regulation possibility and to maintain the Cup original supports. The measures are as following: Total Length: 50 mm Stem width: 40 mm diameter Small Stem: 11 mm diameter Screw anchor: 19 mm Taring is free • The original pressure plate and clutch plate can be changed for an AP with the following measures: Pressure plate: AP CP 7381-NE-80-SF Clutch Plate: REF CP 8300-A029 It is forbidden to make changes in the other sections (body, windscreens, brakes, suspension, gearbox, engine, etc), to be included as described in the Technical Manual for the Renault Clio Cup The minimum weight is: 1.085Kg 5.2.c. Renault Clio Cup without ballast: It is allowed to do the same modifications as mentioned in the case above but with a minimum weight of 1.060 Kg and will be considerate as subdivision D5A for Handicap. 5.3HYUNDAI COUPE (EVO) ENGINE SUBFRAME (Option 1): The original sub frame may be replaced by the tubular structure that follows: 8 Option 2: For all those vehicles that fit out this subframe, zipper support can be changed (as in following picture) to allow to assembly of the cradle. 9 TRAPEZOIDS The original trapezoids may be changed by tubular ones with uniball ball joints and adjustment in extension in order to vary the track gauge and the advancement. TOP MOUNTS The front absorbers top mounts may be changed for other with similar characteristics that allow more space for suspension adjustment levels. 10 BATTERY The emplacement may be changed to be able to install it on the co-driver's seat. (non-existent) FRONT BUMPER: The air intake for cooling the heat exchanger is modified, the current measurement being 87 x 20 cm. Weight: 3,567 Kg. 11 REAR BUMPER: Incorporates diffuser measures: 123x70x15cm. Weight: 8Kg. • Due to the modifications done on the front axle, the track gauge becomes 1545 +/- 25 mm • The size of the tire used is 210-620/17 in both axles. It is forbidden to make changes in the other sections (body, windscreens, brakes, suspension, gearbox, engine, etc), to be included as described in the Technical Manual for the Hyundai Coupe Cup The Minimum weight is 1.065 kg. 5.4 SEAT LEON MK2 SUPERCOPA The teams that want to participate in D3 Category, will have to use the GALFER brand brake pads, with the following references: Front: 16.921.00/CER Rear: 16.447.00/CER 5.4.a. Seat Leon LR: Any kind of modification is allowed as long as the minimum weight of the vehicle is 1.070 Kg and the height of the flat bottom is: 60 mm 5.4.b. For all those Seat Leon LR that do not have a sequential gearbox and do not want to be considered in D5A subdivision for Handicap, the following items can be changed: Electronic management, injectors and fuel pump Intercooler Brake system Flat Bottom must respect the original measures of Seat Leon LR, but can be made with any other material. Front arms with ball joints Modifying the anchorage points of the rear axle Shock Absorbers Minimum Weight: 1.130 Kg 12 5.5 NISSAN 350 Z The Nissan 350Z that wanst to participate in Division D4, the only modification to be done on the Astra Cup 350Z Technical specifications is changing final group. In this case the minimum weight is: 1.330 Kg For those complying with Astra Cup 350Z Technical specifications the minimum weight is: 1.280 Kg. 5.6. HYUNDAI GETZ Because of an exceptional technical reason, Hyundai Getz will always be authorised to install a different tyre to Michelin as long as it is supplied and labelled by Neumáticos Alvarez. ARTICLE 6. DEFINITIONS 6.1 MINIMUM WEIGHT. Is the weight of the car in running order, at any time during the event, no fuel, no driver, or other added except (if applicable) duly sealed ballast. 6.2 WEIGHT IN RACE. It is the weight of the car in running order, and as it has just participated in test of the race, with the driver on board and the amount of fuel remaining in the tank. ARTICLE 7. EXCEPTIONAL CASES Any competitors, who for technical reasons or others beyond their control, need to be excepted from any of the mentioned articles of the present Technical Regulation, will have to ask the Organisational Committee of the Championship, in writing describing and detailing all and each one of the modifications. The period of presentation is 3 (Three) weeks before the beginning of the next event. The Organisation Committee will negotiate the application with the Technical Department of the ASN, which will be the maximum authority to this effect, and will authorise and communicate in a written document the exception, if applicable. 13
