ROTARY CLUB OF MUMBAI NORTH ISLAND
PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
First two months of the new Rotary year has given an experience that will be cherished for years
to come. The year started with good speakers and many projects related to Literacy and
community service. All this could be done only through team work and confidence that we have
in each other.
Being a Rotarian is a commitment that extends into so many aspects of our lives: our work, our
family, our interactions with others, and the values we hold dear. Our commitment to Rotary begins with the
simple act of coming to our club meetings, and sitting down together with our fellow Rotarians. That's where it
begins - but not where it ends. It is through your act of lighting one candle that many more candles will be lit and
the world will be better place to live in with the act of kindness showered by Rotarians all over the world.
We were invited into our clubs because Rotary knew we were capable; we chose to join because we decided to
rise to that challenge. All of us came to Rotary to get involved, and to make a difference. In Rotary service, as in
just about everything else in life, the more you put into it, the more you get out of it. If you only put in a token of
effort, you won't accomplish much and you won't find satisfaction in what you do accomplish. But when you make
the decision to truly involve yourself in Rotary - to bring Rotary service and Rotary values into every day of your
life - that is when you start to see the incredible impact that you can have. That's when you find the inspiration, the
excitement, and the power to truly achieve. Always….Great Team work, Great Achievements!!

Deepak Kotian Introduced the speaker Mr. Anil Thomas. Mr. Anil Thomas,by

owners get stuck? Biggest mistake - he opined - is trying to make the money in the
past. As the businessmen get stuck. "Chalane wale bana nahi sakte, aur banane
wale chala nahi sakte". You have to change with the time. Most important things in
business are : Marketing and Innovation. If a leader believes 'I am MBA'-Mane
Badhu Aavdechhe-is the sign of arrogancy.
Its time he begins to unlearn and then learn. List the problems you are facing and
identify competent people. Resource is not a problem, but resourcefulness is the
problem. Give your best to your family, give your best to all. Momentum is when
we turn 'big problem' into a 'no problem'. This was followed by a Q & A session and

You forgive Me…I'll forgive you
You forgive me for liking you too much,
You forgive me for raising you up so high
And I will forgive you for not liking me enough.
And I'll forgive you for bringing me down so low.
You forgive me for missing you so,
You forgive me for wanting to be with you,
And I'll forgive you for being so cold.
And I'll forgive you for avoiding me.
You forgive me for the loud racing of my heart,
You forgive for being so pathetic,
And I'll forgive you for not hearing it.
And I'll forgive you for taking advantage of it.
You forgive me for playing your games,
You forgive me for not being able to let go,
And I'll forgive you for toying with my emotions.
And I'll forgive you for never having latched on.
You forgive me for finding you so attractive;
You forgive me for having hopes and dreams
And I'll forgive you for not noticing.
And I'll forgive you for crushing them.
From Editor’s Desk
A new day, a new dawn and a new year under the leadership of Rtn. Bhupendra has created a wave of excitement in doing
community projects and meetings which has enthralled our club and the district.
Events, projects and to celebrate special days have brought in a lot of understanding, fellowship and joy among members.
I vividly recall Ms Susheeben Shah spoke about women often being labeled emotional in the workplace and also in their
personal lives. She guided them to turn around the label emotional into a positive power house.
I would like to express my considerable appreciation to all authors of the articles in this issue of Insight Magazine. It is their
generous contribution of time and efforts that make this issue possible. At the same time I would encourage all our readers
to consider sharing their special insight in this magazine by submitting an article.
