The WIN Job Center is testing potential applicants for possible employment with Mississippi Silicon. Openings are in electrical and mechanical maintenance positions. These positions will be working in the maintenance department and with the contractors during the installation of equipment for the plant. Applicants must have experience in the following maintenance areas: electrical, welding, building, equipment, and mechanical. Applicants must be able to use hand tools, have good communication skills, mechanical aptitude, problem solving skills, adaptability to various working conditions, and work in a team. Applicants will be required to take the Career Readiness Certification test and score “silver”, plus pass the Job Pass test (a hands on skills test). Once these tests are completed you will complete a company application. Pay will be based on experience. Testing dates are being scheduled as needed by Northeast Mississippi Community College. The same process will be used by the company accepting applicants for additional job openings in production, laboratory, shipping, and other positions.
