Fluidized Incineration System of Elektromark AG
in Elverlingsen SAX 3214-20
The fluidized incineration System of Elektromark AG in Elverlingsen is the largest sewage sludge cake
handling plant so far installed on a power station site. It consists of two Push Floor reception bunkers,
one for trucks and the other for rail reception. These bunkers have combined discharge/pre-press screws
with solids handling pumps that convey the cake via pipelines to three large silos. These silos have a
capacity of 1500 m³ and are 10 m diameter x 20 m shell height and are equipped with our patented twin
Sliding Frame discharge machines and our solids handling cake pumps. From here the cake is conveyed
to two further 50 m³ buffer silos again with Sliding Frame machines that feed to a double shaft mixer. The
sludge cake is mixed with the coal before going to the boiler grate.
All silos are equipped with original SAXLUND International dischargers. Beside a continuous level
indicator each silo is also equipped with a CH4 monitoring instrument and an extracting system which
removes the arising biogases from the silos to the incineration hopper.
