We are pleased to announce the 7th edition of the Mauritius Ocean Classic, a race which forms part of the World
Surf Ski Series. This race has already established itself as one of the best downwind courses in the World Series and
also as a fantastic week of surf skiing which should not be missed!
We have introduced some exciting changes to the programme – A Hot Spot dice, a new format for the FTL Sporty’s
team race, more downwinds and more coaching opportunities, an official MOC Insider race from Tamassa to Le
Morne, age category rewards in the two main races and some “Lucky” opportunities to paddle in the back of a
Double with a Champion.
This surf ski week is a wonderful opportunity to combine your sporting passion with a wonderful family tropical
Island holiday! The Tamassa Resort and Race Management team actively promote the involvement of your family
and friends.

RACE REGISTRATION - RACE ENTRY FEE AND SKI RENTAL
All competitors are required to:
• Complete a Race Entry & Ski Rental Form
• Sign the indemnity form at registration
• Pay the Race Entry & Ski Rental Fee at registration
No ski will be issued until the above has been completed by the paddler
The last date for submitting the Race Entry & Ski Rental Form is the 15th of May 2015. Enter early as the entries
are limited to 185 paddlers (due to ski stocks). Form fully filled and signed can be either:

Entry Fee also includes participation in FTL Sporty’s Race, downwind runs, coaching sessions, ski hire and transport
to and from starts and finishes.
Payment of Fees: Cash in US$ to MOC Race Management upon ski collection at Tamassa resort (exact amount to
be submitted)
The race committee reserves the right to prevent any paddler not registered or not suitably competent, from
starting the races.

Situated at Bel Ombre, in the south of Mauritius, Tamassa is a spacious 4-star hotel with a resolutely contemporary
setting for a clientele looking for a difference. All the rooms, housed in a set of villas, face the sea and are
arranged in three arcs, two around large swimming pools with a beach and the third one on the seafront. Around
the hotel’s main swimming pool, the “Show” restaurant, the “B-Bar” and the boutique are grouped together in a

Shuttle Schedules; Downwind Runs
and
Races
Downwind runs: shuttles are organized from Tamassa to Emba Filao Le Morne (for accompanying persons who want
to join paddlers) and back to Tamassa. Surf skis will be transferred back to Tamassa by trailers.
On Race day Mauritius Ocean Classic paddlers depart from Tamassa at to race start.
For accompanying persons the shuttle will depart from Tamassa at 11h30 to Sancho and the on to Le Morne the
finish site. There will also be transport from Tamassa to the finish for the Insider supporters leaving at 12h15.
Buses back from Le Morne to Tamassa at 16h00 (flexible) – in time for prize giving and party time! Surf skis will be
transferred to race start and back to Tamassa after the race by trailers.
