Over a three-year period, the Workshop is designed to provide a comprehensive review of the core curriculum of family medicine. The program is scheduled over two weekends with each two-day weekend course covering four major topic areas for a total of 20.5 credits of continuing medical education (CME) over both weekends. Established in 1948, the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians (OAFP) is a statewide, professional association with more than 4,600 members, including practicing family physicians, family medicine residents, and medical students. The OAFP is one of the largest constituent chapters of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Approximately 80% of all practicing family physicians in Ohio are members of the OAFP. In addition, the OAFP is regarded as the resource for family medicine education by engaging physicians from every corner of the state of Ohio. In fact, between the two weekends, an average of 120 family physicians representing over 30 counties will attend this unique educational experience. When are set-up and tear-down and when will physicians visit the exhibitors during the Family Medicine Workshop? The day will begin with set-up at 9:45 a.m. followed by exhibitor visits from 11:00 a.m.12:00 p.m. and a physician break from 2:30 p.m.-2:45 p.m., which is the second networking opportunity. On January 17, the last opportunity for networking will take place during the dinner from 5:45 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Exhibits will need to be torn down beginning at 6:30 p.m. On January 31, the last opportunity for networking will take place during the dinner from 5:15 p.m.-6:15 p.m. Exhibits will need to be torn down beginning at 6:15 p.m. What are hotel accommodations for the Family Medicine Workshop?
