ESOS - DBOO’s STANCE
Many DBOO members are asking our views on the ESOS announced by the
Bank. Members may make their own choice, as it is their discretion to accept
or not. We value the perquisites extended by our Bank to the employees. There
is nothing wrong in accepting now, and can take a final decision at the time of
vesting which will happen only after one year.
This time we feel that the ESOS ought to have been distributed in a better way
giving more weightage to the length of service, than to the present Scales and
positions. Also, this has not been given to officers/staff members who are
either on disciplinary proceedings or to those who had undergone disciplinary
proceedings earlier.
This again is a double punishment.
If at all the
officer/staff member has been proved guilty or is likely to be proved guilty, he
has been awarded punishment/ will be awarded a punishment. Such being
the case, exempting them from the purview of ESOS is definitely against the
spirit of the ESOS.
BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS
The Bank has also announced a mass celebration on November 14th 2014
immediately after DBOO advised the members to observe a protest on that day.
However, members may note that DBOO is not for any confrontation with the
Bank on discharge of official duties/activities. Hence there should not be any
dereliction in official duties and members can arrange birthday celebrations in
their office/branch accordingly. However we will come out with our agenda like
boycotting lunch/dinner, demonstration after office hours, etc on that day. As
always, our protest is against the wrong policies and practices of the
Management, and not against our beloved Bank. Details will be announced
early next week.

District, has been elevated to the position of the
Convener of UFBU, Palakkad.
Com.Krishnakumar has been a dedicated activist of
DBOO ever since he was promoted to officer cadre in 2001. He became a
member of Executive Committee of DBOO in the year 2005 and was elevated to
the level of Dy General Secretary in the year 2011. He became President of
AIBOC, Palakkad District in the year 2012.
Sri.Krishnakumar is also an exemplary business performer having achieved
business targets for many years in the Bank.
